Also in Islamabad trackers are a pain because your car will stall and you will have to call if any VIP convoy or US, UN and other embassy Parados pass near your car.

Some member here said that UBL does insurance without tracker, but I did not find any info about UBL car insurance.
Bro in new tracker chips when a jammer suspends the signals then tracker automatically stalls the engine. It doesnt need any command frm company. So it can b usefull against theft even if they use jammers.

Mohammad, i don't think it's possible since you have to book the car on bank name or you can get the delivey & then get it leased in that case you will pay transfer fee.

Many friends and people known to me have lost tracker equipped cars. It's just useless for anti-theft purpose.

Thanks for the kind reply. I also feel the same. One more thing, can I get the PBO transferred in some one else's name before getting delivery?

The only differences between ALTIS GRANDE and ALTIS 1.8 is the following, please confirm:

    1. leather seats
    2. leather wrapped steering with audio etc controls
    3. sunroof
    4. wiper sensor
    5. split folding seats

Anything else? Both vehicles have the same engine/transmission, correct?

Guys, I need to know how much you paid for REGISTRAION. As I am getting different numbers from the dealers.

I am deciding between 1.6 and 1.8 and don't want the GRANDE wale extra features.

Tow grande cvti and the altis 1.8 mai engine/transmission is the same, just the above mentioned features are added in the grande, right?
I don't like sunroof and paddle shifters on Karachi roads are not needed, and the other good options on the grande, though are nice, I can do without.

price difference between 1.6 and 1.8 altis is approx. Rs. 250,000 hmm

The 1.8 variants of Corolla have latest 2ZR-FE engine and latest 7-Speed CVTi (auto) and 6-Speed manual transmission.

Altis 1.6 AT has 1ZR-FE engine from previous Generation Altis 1.6 and Gil 1.6 AT. The engine's injection system is newer than the previous gen and now it is equipped with SFI.

Basically Altis 1.6 is like previous gen Gli 1.6 AT, but with alloys and navigation.

I was interested in Gli 1.3 AT, but moved to Altis 1.6 because the difference was just 125,000 and I got a more powerful dual vvti engine, alloys and navi with reverse cam as standard.

Ok - thanks for the details. I am deciding between Altis 1.6 and 1.8

I have not test driven either, yet, and wondering if there's a world of a difference between the two in terms of city driving. Did you drive both variants?

No I did not drive either of them. But a 1.6 dual vvti is better than a 1.3 vvti by all means whether local or long drive. So 1.8 is better than 1.6 by all means.

Power is also needed in city drive, otherwise people would only buy 660 cc used imports.

naturally there would be a noticeable difference between 1.3 and 1.6, but between the 1.6 and the cvti 1.8 will have to go test drive both on Saturday to give my feedback and then decide.

Booked Toyota Grande CVT on 17th Feb and dispatched on 5th March from a small city. Big cities' dealers are just booking cars on their company name to support premium. Indus should take a serious action on these dealers' Mafia.

Too much fast processing by Indus Toyota, Mashaa Allah.
