No need for confusion go straight for Altis 1.6

Did you also get a free car wash?

When I inspected the new Gli at Safa Gold Mall. I checked the trunk and found corrosion on the jack. I asked the salesperson to check the jack as it had some white powdery stuff all over the surface.

I guess someone supplied Indus the jacks which might have remained under sea water for long time after the tsunami.

We telephoned them yesterday and provided the registration number, went today but when I reached there it was lunch break, waited for 20 mins just for the lunch break to end and then immediately the concerned person ordered a jack from store and replaced it, also took pics of chassis plate.

My car was already clean so didn't ask then for a wash, and considering my OCD regarding washing and stuff I don't use any other thing other than my own stuff on any of my cars
That's strange, my car's jack was clean, never got a chance to see or use it though. Why did IMC carry out this recall though, any idea?

Ooops I forgot you are a detalier

Some vendor supplied faulty jacks to IMC, they realised now, thus recall.

I'm amazed they did such a thing, doesn't happen quite often!

Even my 2011 Corollas jack suck, The ones that come with Vitz takes up the car with no struggle. Corolla walla needs mehnat.
Get over the fact that Xli lacks power windows, Its an Xli because it lacks thoose features or else it would be a Gli or an Altis if had all the goodies.

During the 10 years I used 9th Gen corolla jack for three to four times max, don't remember was there any problem. Use WD-40 on the screw, it will become soft.

This is a bit annoying. Can someone lay it out what is the EXACT registration payment breakdown they paid IN KARACHI. Because, using pakwheels "on road price" and getting the numbers from the dealership - they don't match (pakwheels hasn't updated the ex-factory price for the car either). Check below.

    1.8 (automatic)

    PAKWHEELS

    ex-factory price 2,152,500

    freight 3,500
    token tax 1,000
    income tax (non filer) 4,000
    plates 500
    registration fee 43,050
    wht (non filer) 150,000

    TOTAL Rs. 2,354,550

    DEALERSHIP

    tax 3,200
    registration 43,050
    number plate 500
    book 200
    luxury tax 5,000
    non filer tax 12,000
    wht (non filer) 150,000

    TOTAL 2,366,450

Can someone that has already booked/bought the new corolla care to comment, as I don't want the dealer to ADD extra TAXES to the total price.

Is there any policy that the cars insurance is to be done before the booking is done? Was told this at Toyota Society Motors, I think they were bluffing.

Insurance company needs engine # chassis # copy of invoice and physical inspection and verification also the photos of four sides, engine bay etc.

No, the representative said that I'll have to deal with insurance stuff before the booking. And he was forcing for TPL insurance with tracker at 3.99%.

Toyota Society, Central (shahrah-e-faisal) are owned by the same person, and this is just their dealership's policy, as I had spoken to them also. I said I won't pay these two charges in a post-dated check, as it's quite silly.

Yes, the salesperson tried pulling that trick on me also, over the phone. I told them I won't use their preferred insurance provider as the rate is too high. Go to Korangi or Defense dealerships.

Same here. Went to them as its the nearest one. Looks like I'll have to check others too. Btw what company will you go with for insurance. Btw TPL is offering car to car for one year.

    its your car your choice
no one can force you to get insurance from any company
its u to decide which company u want or whether u dont neeed Insurance at all...
so ask that oversmart salesperson to shut the f**k up or get car from any other dealership...
