Well my name was in the list at the time of booking and till very recently, but it disappeared from the latest one when the time for invoice came

Today I went to FBR and showed them the receipts of e-filing and hard copy filing of returns. They said that hard copy one has not been entered in the system yet and they opened the e-filing account and found that the return was stuck there for some empty field (though the system generated completed receipt).

Today that stuck e-return was re-filed and now my name will appear in Active Tax Payers list again but on April 15th, they said.

I see. That means the active tax payers' list is checked twice by IMC, once at the time of booking and second before delivery to ensure that the person remains a filer / active tax payer.

I think at the time of booking dealer checks online and at the time of invoice IMC checks

I think all car manufacturing companies are bound by the orders of competition commission of Pakistan to charge the price of car prevailing at booking time except the government taxes, which are to be paid as prevalent at delivery time. So even if IMC were deliberately delaying deliveries till July, they are supposed to charge the price prevailing at booking time any way. Correct me if I am wrong.

Sorry for the late reply brother,
Asad tires quoted me 14k for Yokohama after they removed the price of my euro stars .. another shop was also giving me these tyres for 13k after removing cost of my stock ones.. but Since Asad tires is authorized dealer of Yokohama i went with him
    and manufacturing date is August-2014

Didn't know about this. Though Pak Suzuki did accept the contention of CCP by changing its policy to charge the price prevailing at the time of booking, IMC didn't follow suit. I wish people taking deliveries in July 2015 do not end up paying extra. Thanks for the clarification.

I booked a Corolla in Jul 2004 and got it Jan 2005 and in Nov 04 the prices were revised upward by 30,000 rupees, but Indus did not charge me the increase and they said they will charge increase on bookings which were done in November, not before it. Interestingly they sent me a compensation of a very little amount (2,200 rs) though on account of late delivery charges.

Brother, so that means in past, IMC followed the policy of charging the price prevailing at the time of booking, but now they charge the price prevailing at the time of delivery? This is getting very confusing. Also, I think you mean to say you booked the car in July 2004 and got delivery in January 2005 (not 2004) without paying anything extra for the upward revision in price in November 2004?

I am sorry if I appear to be very inquisitive but I want to be equipped with full information about IMC before deciding to buy the very first Corolla of my life, if Allaah wills.

    Hi
I have booked an Altis yesterday. I was concerned about its consumption because i changed from 1.3 to 1.6.
My friend told me that Altis 1.6 gives 10 km/L in city and 12 on long routes. Is this consumption right ? Secondly what is the registration cost of 1.6. ?

    Regards.

    Hamza

1.6 is dual vvti and better weight to power ratio and gives easily 14-15 in city and if you are a light footed fuel efficient driver you may get a bit more -- very nice average for a 1.6.

The details of reg cost in Islamabad was posted many times above but I again post it as it's too many pages up there.

egistration of 1.6 Altis in Islamabad

    Total Cost include

    Registration Fee : 39440/- Rs
Income Tax (Non Filer) : 9000/- Rs
Motor Vehicle Tax : 384/- Rs
    Scanning Fee : 550/- Rs
Number Plates Fee : 510/- Rs
    ______________________________<wbr>_ ________

    Grand Total : 49884/- Rs

    For Filers

    Registration Fee : 39440/- Rs
Income Tax (Filer) : 4500/- Rs
Motor Vehicle Tax : 384/- Rs
    Scanning Fee : 550/- Rs
Number Plates Fee : 510/- Rs

Is it true that the engine of 11th generation Corolla Altis 1.6 is the same as that of 10th generation Corolla GLI 1.6?
