Your dad should have been, "Once bitten, twice shy." I wonder why he went for it thrice. He should have learnt the painful lesson when he was bitten once.

    Mohtaram @MoinIqbal Sahib,
Hats off to your dad's Corolla for scoring that hat-trick. Tricks never go unrewarded. I don't quite understand why Indus Motors is sleeping over the opportunity of luring your dad into buying another Corolla just by installing an immobiliser! It will virtually become theft-proof that way and your dad will definitely buy it.

I'll never put my money into buying a Corolla which is so unsafe against theft through the curse of not having an immobiliser.

Kept a Corolla from 2005 to 2015. If it is in your naseeb there will be no theft or accident. If not you may loose it to snatches, accidents etc.

Yes IMC should install immobilizer, I totally agree. At the same time, not every other Corolla is stolen. Keep it insured better safe than sorry.

immobilizer doesn't mean that your car can't be stolen. if this was the case then why people are keep insuring other car like civic and city. Secondly rate of corolla theft is high because no of corolla in pakistan. In pakistan most of people own corolla and mehran may be 70% in combine. snatching rate of both car is also high.

    Mohtaram @naturallover Sahib,
Technically speaking, a car installed with an immobiliser can't be stolen in Pakistan because car thieves here have not been able to crack the codes of immobilisers in our country. Car thieves are very low-tech in our part of the world. They just hot wire the car by taking out the steering shroud and off they go as they fire the ignition. This type of car theft is extremely low-tech in Pakistan and can easily be fixed by installing an immobiliser.

No car thief can steal a parked Honda Civic, period. This is the law of Physics in Pakistan.

If we collect the data about the number of cars stolen today and compare it with the one if we install immobilisers on every car manufactured in Pakistan tomorrow and plot it in a graph there will be a significant dip in the number of cars stolen.

    No offence sir and regards.

Mohtaram supereagle sahab totally correct but if the hot seller and most stolen cars will have an immobiliser thieves will adapt.

It is all up to your naseeb as @autophile says above. Otherwise a 9mm to the temple at any traffic light will beat any security measure of the car itself, no matter what it is.

It would probably be more effective than any immobilizer, I suspect.

Thieves bypassed/jammed satellite trackers. They do not waste time on a low clearance Honda which cannot bear the rigours of tribal terrain.

If IMC puts immobiliser in Corolla, car lifters would come equipped with their own ECU and coded keys If you want your choices and preferences and likes to be dictated by thieves it's up to you.

In some areas if thefts, robberies increase, what do you do? Move out?
