Default 11th Generation Toyota Corolla Pakistan

To my knowledge "immoblizer"introduced in Civic in 2006 before that civic theft rate was low
Comparing to other cars and after 2007 civic theft rate increased according to statistics😀

Such a disappointment from Toyota Indus Motors!
    Steering misalignment issues!
(In this pic the car is going absolutely straight with tilted steering on the left side)

-car is only 30kms driven. (Owner's words)

I know this is not a major issue but still you can't digest this in new car.

Simple. Turn around and go to 3S they will fix it for free in 15 mins. Why fret about it?

I already said it's not a major issue. But why alignment issue in a brand new car? I'm wondering why owner of this car has accepted the delivery without fixing this issue.

The road has an incline. See the snap. The stering has to be tilted to counter that. Nothing wrong with the car

This is Pakistan and such things are normal here. IMC never claimed or clamoured about their QC. Such issues are present in many Pakistani assembled cars, still an exception not a norm as not every car has this issue or every 100th car had it.

Obviously its not the movies but real life. One has to keep an open mind and takes measures to defend him self.. living with a sheep mind self or trying to recreate fimly scene both are not practical.

it's better to have a gun and not need it than to need a gun and not have it.

    Mohtaram @VCheng Sahib,
Immobiliser is a deterrent against car theft in case you park you car and walk away for a while. A Corolla parked for sometime can be stolen by an experienced car thief in about 3 minutes. If Indus Motors equips its Corolla with an immobiliser, it can't be stolen. The stories I've narrated are about parked Corollas and do not involve car-jacking. If someone puts a gun at one's head at a traffic light, he or she can still score a legitimate kill if he or she is properly trained in car-defence. Every situation has an answer. I'm particularly addressing the situation of a parked Corolla which is so vulnerable to theft that Indus Motors has to do something about it. I can say that Indus Motors is oblivious to the situation to a shameful level and turning a blind eye towards a situation which has to fixed.

Here is what happens if one tries to mug a trained guy sitting in a car. Read this and appreciate for yourself what Justin, a former US Special Forces soldier did to his mugger. Justin forced his mugger to shoot himself in the ankle. One should get trained for such situations. Justin is a former US Special Forces soldier, a martial arts champion, trained in hostage rescue and much much more. Here is the link to the story: Chicago Martial Arts Champion Forces Mugger to Shoot Himself

Remember the best self-defence weapon is the human body, then comes 9mm which is not the caliber for self-defence. My favourite is 45 ACP which is bigger and has more stopping power than 9mm and is less likely to kill (as compared to 9mm). One is less likely to be charged with murder if he ends up using 45 ACP because it disables the bad guy than killing him, the likelihood of which (killing in self-defence) is more if one uses 9mm.

In some areas if thefts, robberies increase, what do you do? Move out?
    Mohtaram @autophile Sahib,
May I come in here sir? Here are my points:

    1. If one needs to cope with the rigorous terrain of the tribal area then one needs to get a 4 by 4 Jeep. A car is not meant to driven on rough terrain. Pakistani Honda or Toyota Corolla, for that matter, is designed, engineered and tested for roads.

    2. If one wants to steal a car fitted with an immobiliser, then the best way to do so is to play with the codes and not by installing one's own ECU. Both the jobs will take hours and time is not on the side of a car thief. He has to steal a car in less than 5 minutes. Fitting a Corolla with an immobiliser will slam that door on the car thief.

    Regards.
