I know this is not a major issue but still you can't digest this in new car.

Bhai Jaan if the Qanoon gets sakht in our country then how can a person have guts to steal a car...Ok leave qanoon...Why have we pushed our country to that limit where one feel the need to take or snatch some valuable item from the other respective person...Greed also is one common problem but all I say is that the law should get a little bit strict so that there should be reduction in these daily tension giving crimes!!!

OR IN SIMPLE WORDS I SAY MAY WE GET CONTROL OF THE BIGGEST PROBLEM OF OUR COUNTRY WHICH IS POVERTY ONE DAY NEAR IN THE FUTURE INSHA ALLAH AND AAMEEN SUM AAMEEN OR I FEEL WORSE THAN EVER TO SAY THAT IT MAY INCREASE DAY BY DAY BUT NOT DECREASE DUE TO HUGE INCREASE IN POPULATION WITH RESPECT TO TIME!!!

I know what to do if my brand new car has this issue. "The owner" as you mentioned doesn't know. And its not an "issue". With so many cars leaving the factory everyday, these things go unnoticed sometimes, thats what PDI is for.

And PDI is the SOLE responsibility of the dealership not Toyota Indus Motors. Dealership is meant to inspect a car from bolt to bolt before being handed over to the person. Tell your friend not to make a hue and cry all day long, instead if there is an issue, go to the dealership and feed them something in a way he means BUSINESS.

If he says "after paying 1.8 million, why am I supposed to do this?!"; tell him when you buy a house worth 4 or 5 crore Rs, you DO check and get everything right before the payment and if anything is proved against what was promised and provided to you in written, you sue the party and tell them to fix it.

One doesn't simply say "bhai 4 karorre tou dia hay ab aur kia karun phir b gandi cheez mil gai".

I paid 2.5 million for my car, Toyota Azad Motors. But I told the guy beforehand that I KNOW how to look at and check a vehicle, if I even find one scratch on the paint let alone a misaligned tail lamp, he and I are gonna have problems and this Altis is going to stick to his memories for some time. And the car was delivered to me via a private truck! All flawless and perfect! Alhamdolillah.

Immobiliser is a deterrent against car theft in case you park you car and walk away for a while. A Corolla parked for sometime can be stolen by an experienced car thief in about 3 minutes. If Indus Motors equips its Corolla with an immobiliser, it can't be stolen. The stories I've narrated are about parked Corollas and do not involve car-jacking. If someone puts a gun at one's head at a traffic light, he or she can still score a legitimate kill if he or she is properly trained in car-defence. Every situation has an answer. I'm particularly addressing the situation of a parked Corolla which is so vulnerable to theft that Indus Motors has to do something about it. I can say that Indus Motors is oblivious to the situation to a shameful level and turning a blind eye towards a situation which has to fixed.

Here is what happens if one tries to mug a trained guy sitting in a car. Read this and appreciate for yourself what Justin, a former US Special Forces soldier did to his mugger. Justin forced his mugger to shoot himself in the ankle. One should get trained for such situations. Justin is a former US Special Forces soldier, a martial arts champion, trained in hostage rescue and much much more. Here is the link to the story: Chicago Martial Arts Champion Forces Mugger to Shoot Himself

Remember the best self-defence weapon is the human body, then comes 9mm which is not the caliber for self-defence. My favourite is 45 ACP which is bigger and has more stopping power than 9mm and is less likely to kill (as compared to 9mm). One is less likely to be charged with murder if he ends up using 45 ACP because it disables the bad guy than killing him, the likelihood of which (killing in self-defence) is more if one uses 9mm.

    Regards.
I am sure that everyone in Pakistan is trained to the same high standards, right? May be even higher standards. Yeh qaum tau seesa pilai hui dewar hey. Of course.

Back to the topic, just hang a plastic Ayat-al-Kursi on the rear view mirror of the Corolla and you are fully protected.

Well if snatching will increase fine but at least you will be able to park it stay in peace.
Sir, you use whatever deterrent you have.

Sorry, if i sound a bit off topic, in view of on going discussion.

the TPL PKR 3000 card works just fine in the 1.6 altis. I'm using it and hence I can vouch for it.

It is a simple fix. Once I changed the tires of my 05 Corolla, got wheel alignment and balancing and when I went for test drive, the steering was not centered, I came back and told the alignment guy, he fixed it in five minutes and it was on the desired position after that, no issues.

Aray bhai.. if you agree that corolla should have immobiliser then what is this argument you are doing?
Wouldn't theft will decrease if car is equipped with an immobiliser?
You first of to understand then indulge in an argument.

Just call up TPL. They will give you the card for PKR 3000. Just plug it in and it works fine. It's 3D

I have no issue dear. My hunch is that thefts will decrease monetarily but snatching will increase exponentially. Hondas, Nissans, Mitsus are not stolen because they have better security, because they have no value in the market, no doubt they are better cars though.

Already there have been so many incident reported on Pakwheels and FB about snatching of new Civic at gun point in Lahore and Islamabad.
