Bro I got the Chinese player installed in my ride last week, I compared many brands and spent almost 2 hours running from shop to shop taking demo of different brands. Here's what I concluded:
    1. 8" one is better than 9" in terms of display as the 9" one is kinda dim. Though the 8" display is also not as good as my previous unit (pioneer)

2 I took demos of Avt, dellson, clarion (fake), Caliber and Premier. Talking about the display resolution and touch, Caliber was No.1 and at no.2 was Premier, the rest had touch issues.
Rest everything including user interface and sound quality was same.

I opted for Premier 8" although Caliber had slightly better touch but the shopkeeper who had Caliber was offering very less for my previous head unit.

The problem I noticed is that the software is not very user friendly and during day time on a sunny day you can hardly see anything on the screen.

This unit costed me 13,500(only unit)
I'll get the back cam installed after 2-3 months when I've checked my car thoroughly as installing back cam voids the car's warranty

    Regards

I got it from Sarmad Motorsports Caltex Pump F-10 Islamabad for 22.5K including back cam and navigation. Paid 1k for installation.
I didn't find any issue with the sound, with 4 speakers of Gli, its working fine.
The unit also has WiFi but it does not find any network. Anyway as the OS is Win CE, I don't see any utilization of internet in that system.
The back cam is good and clear, both at day and at night. I will try to paste the screenshots here.
The navigation is IGO Version 2. Navigation card is microSD 2 GB. I will try to use the maps autophile has recommended. Hope they work as Altis 1.6 also has Win CE system.
I haven't sold my original player. Its actually quite nice, made in Malaysia. Due to its shape, it can only fit in Corolla and as all the Corolla trims are already coming with some player, its not required in the market, so they trade it in with ridiculous price.

How did you recognize between all these players as these Chinese players come without any name.
I have 8 inch Dellson one, as told by the shopkeeper. But "Dellson" is not written anywhere. Its only written on the camera.

As far as sunlight legibility is concerned, even the original Grande player can not be properly seen during sunlight.
As for the back cam, they just slice the reverse light wire and take the signal from it so that the camera activates itself when the reverse gear is engaged.

For how much your Gli's Clarion unit was sold?

The boxes have their names written on them plus there's difference in button placement for different brands.
The fake clarion one i saw was extraordinarily appealing appearence wise as it didn't had those knobs for volume control and seek but it had issues with touch and display.
I didn't sell the oem unit as no one was willing to buy it, I sold my previous pioneer 1450dvd for 12000 instead

Congratulations and do not worry about average in the beginning it's like that. I think you did not travel much. The average comes to level after 15 to 20 kms and it will keep getting better as you drive more.
