Parallax error occurs when you arent looking at a measurement device at a direct 90degree angle. In the case of speedometers it is very rare for parallax error to occur because of the fact that you are mostly looking at the speedometer at about 90degree angle unless your seating position is like a boy racer(laid back). Engineers and designers obviously do think about parallax error and they design the speedometers such that the error is minimum.
As for GPS, well Gps is an measurement device and it is prone to error. The accuracy of Gps depends on the no of satellites the Gps is connected to and most important the Quality of the gps receiver and i doubt toyota has used to a good quality receiver. The speedometer has already been through testing and quality control while i doubt the navigation system has been rigorously tested for accuracy of speed reading. So the speedometer has a lesser chance of error than the navigation system giving error in the speed reading.

very true and so is the case with HUD too.. HUD might also be faulty like GPS but as Engineer has tested ODO very accurately and considered all the possible error that it could cause so ODO is very accurate and impossibility of having parallax error caused by the position of the driver.

I didnt opt for that now i want some decent branded rims from lahore which is the place to get them and what profile should i go for in tyres.

Same shift, just a different way to do it. Once in M mode, push forward for up shift and backwards for downshift.

Grande's(Altis) resale isn't that good. Consider the fact that there is now only one month wait time for Grande while on the other hand for Gli its 5 months. Specs wise Grande is better but resale wise it is no match against Gli. I had a option between Grande and Gli and I went for Gli. I booked one Gli which would be delivered in September and I'll book another Gli within 15 days which would be delivered in January 16.

For resale yes, your point holds true. Otherwise there is no comparison between the two.

Well, GLi manual has a good resale. But I observe that GLI AT has failed to capture the market in terms of resale.

    The 2ZR-FE has enough low-end torque...so i keep rolling in 6th gear in city traffic...at 45-50 kmph...
and when grunt is required..like in salt range or climbing Murree...there is no way a CVT can come close to a manual
