No doubt you can see new corolla everywhere now and in taxi. But being an old civic fan. After buying Grande CVTi. I tell everybody that this time Toyota has done a great job....acceleration is too good in CVTi with paddle shift but no comparision with MT...a video of 0-100 in 1.8 MT will be appreciated....

    Assalam o Alaikum

I have a Grande CVTi, and I can vouch it can give the 1.8 MT a good run on any given day. The roar is there in CVTi also, however the CVTi takes the crown for giving u the MT pleasure whenever needed.

It has great throttle otherwise, shifting the car from auto to manual, takes the RPM up and that gives u the muscle when needed.

I would always prefer CVTi option and advise the same to all enthusiasts who prefer manual.

Also endorsing the migration from the new Civic to Grande CVTi, I have done that and love it, however I still rate Reborn civic better than Grande, minus the fuel average.

I would certainly agree on that. Grande is premium while Gli is just simple plus its too big a car for that 1.3 engine. Ive heard Indus are discontinuing the Xli and bringing in a new Gli with a 1.5/1.6 engine. That engine would perfectly suit the car.

probably in 2018. why would they change their lineup.. IMC is doing good business without any competition in market..
They might change their sales strategy or lineup, if honda launches city or civic this year, which is not happening.

So chill and enjoy, which ever variant of corolla you have..
