To be on safe side do inform your dealer and IMC helpline. I had scanned the PBOo and emailed it myself and kept multiple photocopies at home. Now I am in habit of taking a snapshot of all docs I get in my cell phone.

First mistake you kept Honda, second mistake you bought Toyota, third mistake you do not expect such minor problems in Toyotas.

All my life I have kept Corollas and never faced a single issue with them. Bro that does not mean that all cars that leave Toyota or Honda have no faults.

There are many happy customers of 11th Gen on Pakwheels, who did not have any annoying issues with their Corollas. Those who had got them fixed on first visit.

The number of cars produced to the defects ratio is small. I have learned jn other threads of honda owners having teething issues. One should be watchful when accepting delivery

And regarding Honda Civic , they have their own quality issues.

Please don't compliment honda atlas over here. They too have poor build quality.
I have 9th gen civic only 11k driven, the car has so many scratches in the interior here and there. And rubbers on the doors have started to fall apart.
Still I consider the build quality of Grande (only) to be better then civic.
Moreover my brother in law just got his zero meter city delivered last week. The rubbers on inside of the back doors are all misaligned and one on the right door was broken and pasted with glue later on by these Honda people.
Don't expect miracles from PKDM. If quality is the major concern, nothing comes close to JDMs.

Yes ride and comfort do compete..suspension and cabin noise are definitely better than honda. Acceleration is almost as good it does have more power though but at the cost of fuel. Average is only 9.5-10 so far

It will improve. I am now getting 13 in city with AC and I have started flooring it (on empty roads of course) and it's so fun to launch/floor it at green traffic light. Just 2400 kms done.

Should not be there. But minor issues not biggies. Enjoy your ride.

Totally agreed but it does put an unnecessary load on the engine. The CCS values for 0-10w are same but suddenly jack up for 20w.

Not a significant load otherwise engine providers would be putting stickers on them that do not use 20W 50 in our engine.

The IMC manual recommends everything from 5w-30 to 20w50. It's like saying use whatever, what do we care :p

That's because everyone is recommending a set of figures yet no one knows what those figures exactly mean :p I'lltry to explain them. In simplest words iI can and let everyone make a more informed decision for themselves this weekend hopefully

They can be dragged and fined in a consumer court if someone proves that 20W50 is harmful for the engine. Plus these manuals and svc protocols are approved by Toyota Japan.

It's not harmful, it's unnecessary loading. The CCS values are significantly different. It'slike putting conventionalspark plugs in a vvehicle that requires iridium. They won't damage the engine but the output will be compromised. And all oil manufacturers do tell you to use this grade in old vehicles only. I am sure they know their oils better than IMC.

My uncle's civic, 10k done, all the black rubber on door rests is gone. My neighbours were delivered a city in 2010 with missing air-conditioning ducts. All city come without an air conditioning filter even though it's marked on the evaporator. Honda has its share of screw ups. You've been lucky. Like I have always been with Toyota this far. Fingers crossed for the new one expected next month inshAllah.
