Default Engine Oil for 11th Gen XLi and GLi Auto

I might have missed some earlier posts regarding best choice for 2NZ-FE / GLi Super ECT Automatic

Actually my next oil change is due infact i have driven almost 7k plus kms this time

    Currently i am using Toyota's Petron 20W 50
Should i continue using it ??

I Was actually thinking about Shell Helix Ultra 5W 40
In the past i had always used oils available / recommended by 3s dealerships
But I am not satisfied by their service n customer care of Toyota Dealers
Infact whenever i send my car for service , it comes back with a few problems
Sometimes badly displaced trunk lip spoiler , which they dont even fix before giving the car
Sometimes some scratch on the bodykit and lip
Sometimes full gloss polish on the dashboard making it look like a Taxi of 1970s

Now I am really thinking to get the service n regular oil changes done from petrol pumps and for that i need your valuable advice

Anyone here installed ECU cover ?? Can we get our cars serviced with peace of mind after that from petrol pumps ? Since they use high pressure jets to wash the engine bay ?

And which engine oil should I go for ???
I would really appreciate if the owners of this particular variant spare some time to share which engine oil n grade they are using and why
Considering extremely hot weather of khi

    Dont know about Grande
But 0 to 100 timing ( based on my personal experience ) for
9th gen Civic is 12 plus seconds almost 12.3 to 12.5 seconds
And 8th gen civic 11 seconds , slightly lesser than 11 seconds 10.8 secs almost ( talking about 45k driven and almost 6 yr old Reborn )
    Both auto
As far as i know i have heard 0 to 100 for auto grande is exact 10 seconds

If Grande is faster than Civic so nothing harm in it. Because we all know that nighter Grande is a sport car nor civic.

Yeh dono ki aukat se bahar ki bat hai.

Because i dont have a Grande
And i havent checked its 0 to 100 timing with full throttle myself ..
And i am not convinced by the videos i see at youtube , all of the videos i saw there were of international 1.8 11th gen Corolla
I havent seen any 0 to 100 video of local Indus Grande Cvti yet

And Bro there is no embarrassment
It doesnt matter if Civic is faster or if Corolla is faster
Both are just avg family sedans and both lack basic and much needed features
And yes no one wants to compare these two here again
Ppl have their own taste and preference

    If you dont mind bro
Are you the same guy who was really confused last year between alabaster silver or tafetta white of Honda Atlas ???

Using Toyota Petron plus 10W30 in altis CVTi 1.8. Excellent choice. I suggest you go for that.

I also second you. We have both cars with us. GLi AT and city AT 2011. City really is marginally slower than corolla and Automatic transmission of city has a slow brain than that of corolla, as a result takes more time to respond.

The reason for city being slower it that is features a SOHC engine while corolla engine is DOHC (dual cam) for this reason even 1.8 Altis will easily beat civic in torque

I personally tested it by dragging 2001 se saloon with 2002 civic nd always produced same results

Considering extremely hot weather of khi
    dear brother
first of all i wanna tell you that every single person will tell you his own liking means the oil he is using.and there numer 20w 50 etc
there are alot of companies in karachi means variety as it the hub of pakistan and first all things lands over there correct me if i am not wrong.

it totally depends on you and your peace of mind.
1)both local and imported are good .
some are using total , shell havoline
    zic kixx liqui moly etc

As you have 9 gen civic which i am not wrong you have sold it.
you have been changing oil from honda 3s shops which are really using total oil 5w 30.

so i think local total is good if asked from honda fans and shell also as some quoted cars running fine till 200k plus

    now come to imported
all are good if purchased from genuine dealer
as you will hear some will say go for liqui moly valvoline zic kixx.

now personally coming to some one will say
oh you have a 20 lakh plus car and going for cheap oil the local one
go for imported one yar the are good.

say to him total shell are also international just have their blending plants over here making producing and selling over here so it dosent mean imported one so superior or inferior.

one thing my brother keep in mind dont listen to anybody saying intervals more than 5000km
the 7000 or 10000km are not suitable for our dusty roads and engines.

if i were in your place i would go for total 5w 30 or 10w 40 both are synthetic oils or imported then zic a+
dont worry about heat of karachi as the above mentioned are also written in user manual the number i have written.

    intervals are 5000 km.

the more you will ask the more you will get confused.
just make up your mind.this is my personnel opinion.
now its totally your choice .
