Sir dont do that.. you and I bought Taglon 5w50 and now you are going some other grade. lol kidding.

I went for Taglon 5w50 in april or May, keeping in mind that summer was coming with as much high temperature as 47 'C .Taglon is fully synthetic and i believe synthetic oils are good enough. It is a bit viscous but not that viscous that it will create enough load on Engine.

As i said before, i am using Total packing oil 10w40 semi synthetic from day one with simple guard filter in my other ride vitz which is now 150k km driven. Its engine is running as smooth as like running on day one. I never had a problem of oil reduction in it and engine is not giving any kind of smoke at all. So that is why i have a believe on Synthetic oil.

Thanks for your reply. When the change interval is 5K kms, I think mineral oils are good and cost effective. I have been using Caltex Havoline Formula 10-30 in my 9th Gen Xli and it was great. There was not single issue with it's engine till I sold it at 134,000 kms. Pick, acceleration, noise, fuel economy was just like a new engine.

Brother you are right, oil should be synthetic atleast. I have been using Shell helix hx5 10w40 since 2006 in both corolla Gli and Civic eg. Never faced any issuses at all.

    How's Toyota 10W-30?
or suggest any other like Shell/Total etc.
I m confused about flushing procedure, is it mandatory or any simple solution?
Will change of oil effect car performance & fuel consumption.
    No friend is guiding.
Go for any 10-30w oil any good brand or any brand you like and get original Toyota oil filter. No need for flush and change oil every 5000km.

Mir bhai, how would u rate ur experience with GLI Auto so far in terms of pick, performance, acceleration, and mileage. Which vehicle did u use to drive in past? How is the response of 4 Speed Super ECT?

Ahmed bhai I can understand what are you trying to judge from experiences of fellow pakwheelers but look at the number of this post .. every body has his own taste and preferences and he will judge the car accordingly..In childhood I had a bicycle then a Yamaha 80 then honda 70,first car of mine was Charred Diesel second was Suzuki Khyber then Mitsubshi Lancer after this I purchased a Vitz 2011(the most sluggish among all) and sold it after 2 months. I drove crolla 2012 M/T for month or so before the delivery of this new GLI. After driving all these I remain the same "Insaan" jo kisi haal maen khush nheen rehta
"Khwashat to Badshaoon ke bhe pori nheen hoteen"
So brother Shukar Allah ka I am very happy with new car, elegant enough, smoother then Lancer, Vitz and M/T Corolla.
But after driving my elder brother's new Honda Civic today I am planning my next car, definitely a 1.8 :p
Ja apni hsrtoon pay aanso bha k so ja .... poor me
P.S. For fuel average I will up load a ODO picture of Islamabad to Lahore journey
    Regards

Very well said Mir bhai. Just observe those people, who look at you with wishful eyes, while u are driving past them and u would be grateful to Allaah every time for what ever He has bestowed u. Glad learning that u are satisfied with ur Corolla GLI auto. I also learnt driving on a charade, which was not mine, later I used to drive my father's Mehran, then his Cuore, then Kei, and finally going to upgrade with the very first Corolla of my life, in shaa Allaah. Yes, waiting for ur input on mileage.

Thank your for understanding my point of view .. one advice from me
If you can afford, go for higher CCs like 1.6 or 1.8 Altis(if not Grande) but please don't empty your bank account for this. 1.3 is not bad, 1.6 or 1.8 are just better

Golden advice but I plan to keep the car for a good 6-7 years In shaa Allaah, so don't want to end up regretting as to why I didn't opt for 1.6 or 1.8 Nevertheless, 1.6 seems fit in my budget. For 1.8, I have to sacrifice some things in order to accommodate it in my budget. Let's see what I do?

    Guys,
I hv got a bit dumb question...
Does temperature dial aka lattu contains thermostats to control ac cooling or it just mix hot nd cold air to adjust cabin temperature? . I m asking coz when ac is not on nd yyou move the dial clockwise it starts giving hot air. This made me confuse.

    @mirpk1 Well explained.
We started our journey from FX then Mehran (Still have it) & now Corolla. 1300cc is perfectly fine upgrade from 800cc. I wanted 1600cc, my father was a bit reluctant, I could've got easily after some convincing but I my self dropped the idea thinking that 1300cc Corolla is reasonable infact wonderful car after driving Mehran.
Now as I've 1300cc I'm completely satisfied, Insha-Allah I'll keep it till 12th Gen comes and then Insha-Allah 1600cc or 1800cc will be on mind.
Till that I'm completely satisfied. Al-hamdulillah.

Ppl in Gli want Grande, ppl in Grande want BMW or Merc, ppl in BMW or Merc may want Lamborghini or Rolls Royce etc......

So end it easily it by looking at motorcycles, Mehrans, cultuses, etc..... There plenty of them. See them and thank Allah for what you have.

Even a biker should be happy & thank Allah bcz he still has a ride as compared to one who travels in rickshaws etc.......
