When your car is under warranty drain period is same for synths and non-synths i.e 5,000 kms or three months whichever comes first. Plus for our dusty environment long drain period is not much helpful.

The drain intervals which i have set for myself are 3k for crude and 6k for synthetic oil. With airfilter change at every 5k kms. So dusty conditions have been dealth with.

Point is synthetic oils are there providing better performance than crude oil , and if you can pay you should definately go for synthetics.

But labeling synthetics as a luxury and waste of money is not right as it provides its own advantages for more money.

I have used both oils and I hardly feel any difference, Synth oils may be better and more advance, but a normal, regular kinda mobil oils is fine for Corollas

I thought discussion was closed. However I never seen anyone quoting Wikipedia. I guess you are using synthetic oil that's why your mind bends toward synthetic.
There is no such thing where you use synthetic oil, neither it can increase or decrease your engine life except it is recommended by the manufacturer. Cars here were not required anything synthetic. You read something on internet where people talk about v6 or v8 vehicles.
I have used mobil1 synthetic which lasts upto 15k kms and it only save my time because it cost me around 9k and that was many years ago.
Every car manufacturer will let you know the type of oil, filter and fuel required to run the engine. Anything extra won't give something worthy.
There are vehicles manufactured for synthetic oil, HOBC fuel and yes factory installed headlights with HID but here in our country we buy the lowest standard basic toyota vehicle and think that it will act as lexus when I use synthetic oil with HOBC fuel and surely HID'S installed in halogen supported headlights.
Don't take personally I was just saying as general.

I am willing to pour crude oil in my car and then talk here about synthetic oil.
It is not that i am biased towards synthetic oil. But it is the advantages of synthetic oil over basic oil which make me move more towards synthetics. In toyota car book , there is no mention of using crude or synthetic oil , only thing mentioned or recommended is the Grade of oil. And once you see toyota making/repacking/packing Fully synthetic oil then everyone will start recommending it.

And about wikipedia, We can have something else as a reference ,
    https://mobiloil.com/en/article/car-...nventional-oil
Synthetic engine oil - Shell Pakistan
    http://www.topspeedracer.com/synthet...gular-oil.html

In each of the above links it states synthetic oil reduces engine wear and tear over long term due to its superior lubrication. Contains less impurities in it and can stand extreme load conditions.

Yes it's a hassle plus they won't do that. Only climate control can be added.

Obviously they are already discouraging their customers by not giving something to pending deliveries of march and april, customers who have already paid there hard earned money to indus are still waiting for their cars to be delivered without immobilizer thing , even customers have not any option for delaying deliveries to may by paying some extra bucks because of pathetic IMC customer care.

Chalein shukar ha sirf Trakker issue he ta. I see no additional benefit for Trakker. Once I lock my car through Trakker sms option but unfortunately Trakker get hanged and i was not able to unlock ignition. I call Trakker guy he came just direct one wire and told be that now U can start your car and tomorrow morning we will replace. So it's just a matter of one wire. You just direct it and in less than 2 min ur Trakker get disabled.
