Nothing can be done Tahir bhai. Had it not been for immobilizer, I would have been happy with the same car.

Nevertheless, hope you continue enjoying your Altis 1.6. Happy motoring. Cheers
How about if you get a quote of your car from Toyota sure, let see how much they are offering you, if amount you lose is in your bearable limit then you can exchange it with new Altis.

Called a few Toyota dealerships. One of them said that if I exchanged the current Altis 1.6 with the improved version, I would get delivery of Altis 1.6 within 45 days. How true is that? Has any friend experienced this or is it just a lollipop given to potential customers to get the exchange deal done with them? Need help experts.

Bhai called a few Toyota dealerships in Karachi. They agreed.to exchange Altis 1.6 with improved version. Though, I would be required.to.pay the additional amount then.and there.but the dealership has promised to deliver.brand.new Altis 1.6 within 45 days. Can't get over.this 45-days delivery commitment as Altis 1.6 is enjoying 4-5.months delivery tenure. They gave me a rough estimate of 19 lac for current Altis but said that if the condition is good, then can offer 30-40K more as well. My car is in scratchless condition and has been driven for only 1300 Kms.

Bro, that OEM they are offering is still heavier than I was using. Ssr type c rims weigh only 6kgs. I didn't have any acceleration issues, or fuel consumption. The thing that messed it up was noise and they are not comfortable.
It will feel like your corolla has gone to Honda Civic mode, and if theres a civic bus phr uska Allah hi hafiz hai.

Don't need to get the new version. If you have insurance then no need to panic plus the 1.6 version is not that new... It just has immobiliser and new key with trunk opener etc... Rest can be installed easily.
Wait and get either civic X or get Grande which has the most features.

No need to panic bro. If you have insurance then relax. Gli just has new key and immobiliser. This is nothing.
Consider those who got Grande just before the new model's launch. Un pe kiya guzer rahi hoo GI.
Apart from Grande owners nobody needs to worry.

Bhai, Altis 1.8 Cruisetronic is in least demand and is therefore available within 2 months. Altis 1.6 is enjoying a minimum 4 month period. Confirmed this from several dealerships. None is giving Altis 1.6 before August where as Altis 1.8 cruisetronic is available for June delivery.

Sir, I don't get my cars insured due to religious reservations. I feel immobilizer would serve as a great deterrent for safeguarding my car, which is the reason why I want to upgrade to the immobilizer variant. I would have loved going for Grande but it is not possible for me to convince my father to go for it as he thinks 1.3 variants are best value for money some how I can convince him though to upgrade to immobilizer version but 1.8 variants is mission impossible for me.

Haha same with me. Somehow trying to persuade my dad for getting the 1.6 as it has 'better' mileage and comfort.

Still the new model has nothing that ground breaking for you to bear loss and go for it. Till now you didn't face any loss and inshAllah you won't in future. I would suggest you to hold on and get something better then 1.6.

Hahaha...bhai, on top of it, I would be arranging all money to upgrade to the immobilizer variant without asking any thing from him but still I hold his opinions in high regard notwithstanding that I may disagree with them at times

    It does have better mileage.
Even 1.8 cvt has almost same mileage in local as of GLI, but on long routes it gives more than GLI.
140km/h and rpm at 2 makes a lot of difference
