my question is Should i go for it? the only reason i want to exchange is immobilizer i am getting? or keep on using this model.
or can i get better rate from outside?
Dear, I also own an Altis 1.6. After introduction of immobilizer, I was also tempted into exchanging mine with a new one with immobilizer. Called a few dealerships to get quote about my car. As usual, I was quoted 1-1.5 lac below market price with the promise that I would be given delivery of brand new Altis 1.6 within 45 days, if I opted to exchange my car with Toyota sure car exchange program. That 45-days delivery period commitment given by dealership on phone seemed a bit fishy as Altis 1.6 enjoyed 4 months delivery period in the least. I wrote an email to the dealership confirming if the car would really be delivered to me within 45-days if I opted for Toyota Sure car exchange program and I am yet to get any confirmation IN WRITING from their side.

So, better stay away from these stealerships and try selling your car in open market. They may take your car at 1-1.5 lac below market price but would not deliver you the brand new car within 30-45 days period especially if its a GLI or Altis 1.6.

However in law the car should be deliverd in 2months time less then 3 months still they took 5 to 6 months I don't know why ....

I was experiencing no pick up or knocking issues so I denied throttle body service. I'm sure they'll say the same thing on next oil change. Should I go for it at 15K kms or these are just dealership tricks to get some money from you?
As stated earlier throttle body is serviced @ 40k. There is absolutely no reason to get it serviced before that but do get it done at 40k since periodic maintenance is necessary for a better drive in the long run.

Bro ask from any toyota dealership the schedule for periodic maintenance. I got it back in 2013 when i got my car and on it, it clearly states throttle body service @ 40K among other things

They have pasted it on the back of warranty booklet. It doesn't have throttle body cleaning mentioned on it. I asked him that it's not mentioned here. He said that only those things are mentioned here which need replacement.
He even said that fuel filter cleaning is recommended at 25K and that isn't mentioned on the book either.

Fuel filter, transmission fluid is changed at 40,000 kms. Rest do not go for TB service, tuning etc if there is no problem.
Be polite on the road. Always give way to others, particularly ambulances and pedestrians.

As per the manual provided with the car, both fuel filter and transmission fluid for 1.6 is due at 55k km. I just checked. At 40k only brake fluid needs replacement.

Got my car delivered today. Changed the tyres as well. The feel from Euro Star to Advan DB is seriously very soft and drive is even softer.
