Registration was a must there as well but they let me register it since i have some close relations over there. I'll get it registered in Lahore as papers have also arrived.

How does the own thing work. The authority letter is issued to original owner I think and then when we buy it, does it get transferred to our name making it second hand, or does it get registered on the name of the person registering it no matter whose name there is on the authority letter.

When a brand new car is purchased from someone and not on booking, the first owner is always the one who booked the car. On papers the car will be considered a second owner but practically it's a first owner car since date of registration and date of transfer to second owner are the same.
Similarly in case of imported cars, the first owner on the book is the person on whose name and passport it was imported.

Whatever you can afford, but Civic is new shape, except engine everything is new in 1.8 Oriel.

Giving old engine is a cheap tactic to do in 2.5m car.

Bhai Honda has no other option ... there is no replacement of R18. Still Honda updates it internally like 8th gen had R18a1 and 9th has R18z1. Same is the thing with Toyota. Infact Toyota too stuffed the old engine in Grande, they could have given the valvematic one 2ZR series but infact they gave the old 2006 engine.

Go for what appeals you more, this Civic & Corolla debate has no answer at all. It's about personal priorities, likings and preferrence. Would be even better if you wait and drive both to decide which you like more

Just because it is on paper an old engine doesn't mean the car is not good. It's something proven and not necessarily needs changing for the sake of breaking this tag of old engine. It is still even by today's standards a modern one.

By installing JDM axio springs , they cost 1500 rs max a pair , will make it more comfortable and better looking

Bro, 2zrfe ain't an old engine. In 2006 and 2008 Altis it was a different engine 1zzfe which produced 120bhp and it had a single vvti. 2zrfe is a new engine for corolla in Pakistani market. It have estimated 140bhp and more torque than all the previous generations introduced in Pakistan. Also, its a dual vvti.
Only xli and gli are coming with oldie 2nzfe which received an upgrade of vvti in 2008.

Sir it is old .. it was introduced with axio / fielder back in 2006 ... yaha aya ub hai tu it shouldn't be counted as new. The newer version is 2ZR-FAE which comes in Premio and is valvematic which Indus didn't introduce here.

Compare it with the market bro, 2zrfae is only coming in one corolla all over the world which is a usa model LE eco.
Also, leave japanese out of the discussion of Paki market coz they always keep the cream for them.
The point was toyota introduced the new engine in their new generation and moreover it's giving the same fuel consumption as xli/gli used to give.

Bro 2ZR-FE is one hell of an engine. It's smooth and very refined plus it's very efficient. My point was that old engine is not a bad thing.
And if Civic comes with same R18 engine with cvt it will also be awesome.

For sure it is, but the same engine is coming in Pakistani market from 10 years.
I was going for gli, and when I drove it I was like same old sound of engine I already drove 2006 and 2010 model gli's for 170,000km and 215,000km respectively so I was like "no". I'm not going for the same engine even after 10 years.
That's what companies should learn, understanding the psychology of end user

They introduced new engine though, but mandatory 91 hioct fuel? Even C200 doesn't have nakhras like that
