can any one tell me what is the total cost of 1.8 grande MT + all taxes and reg?

and what is the difference between 1.8 altis MT and Grande MT..

and also what what features would i be missing by opting for MT grande rather than CVTI grande?
The prices mentioned by Naweed are correct, but the answer to your third question was wrong, you would only be letting go of cruise control in the manual version of the Grande, and not the sunroof.

The answer to your second question is that the manual 1.8 Altis lacks climate control, rain sensing wipers, leather interior, leather stitched steering wheel, vanity lights and dual airbags.

My first choice would be the Vezel, since it has better build quality and features, followed by the Grande since it has good value for money, and then finally the Civic

New Civic 2016 is expensive and has hi-octane issues.

Yes it is more expensive, and yes it has a decade old engine in the 1.8 which is basically an R18 the same as 8th Gen and 9th Gen Civic. But it has been running on normal fuel for the last 10 years since 2006
The CIVIC does not have hi-octane issue. Only the 1.5 turbo charged variant of Civic has hi-octane issue

Why you are trying to correct everyone about Honda on Toyota's thread?
Previously, I never quoted you and said anything to you and you came in for a brief argument on civic debate,
Did @Moderator gave you that task?

Listen Bro. You maybe a senior Pakwheeler but that doesn't mean Honda isn't full of Jarheads, it's not a mere thing that only 1.5T has hi octane issue. It's a big issue when they are launching a new civic, and the top line variant is limited to drive in big cities of Pakistan only.
Please avoid the "lol" type of argument and move on bro.

Our local petrol causes a lot of knocking even on 2NZ FE. I regularly have to mix or use hi-octane. Any comments???? @haseeb.basharat

This is the actual problem...we get decade old stuff and then we call it new.
And engine is an engine whether it's Japan or Pakistan....it's our right to get new stuff.
Honda atleast introduces engines with minor upgrades...reborn had R18a1 and 9th gen had R18z1.

P.S I have no problem with R18 and 2ZR both are beasts in their own way.

It's not an issue of petrol. It's an issue of vvti system introduced in 2008 for 2nzfe. 2nzfe was knocking free upto 2008. For knocking free ride, try changing the plugs to iridium ones.

Even my old Potohar 1993 model had knocking issues on normal Pakistani petrol which used to disappear when hi octane was used. I think the requirement of hi octane is engine specific not based on whether engine is of new technology or older type. In my opinion older engines were more octane sensitive whereas new EFI engines are better since they can adopt engine settings according to fuel quality. In my opinion Civic 1.5 will be fully capable of handling low octane Pakistani fuel only catch will be that it will not be working on its optimum/maximum performance. Cheers,

No, it has a stamp punched on its delivery card, "mandatory hi octane"
Btw, I own Altis 1.8 cvt, a gli 2010 200,000km driven and a gli 2006 175,000km driven. None of my car ever gave knocking coz all three are running on iridium plugs. Try changing them, and you will notice the difference.

Also with Govt. stressing refineries to produce 92 RON fuel in near future I think this problem will be solved in any case. Lately I have noticed a lot of improvement in PSO petrol. I think PSO has already started importing higher RON petrol.

Exactly, but it's a future plan. It will take like 10-15 years to be implemented completely in Pakistan.

There is a Total petrol station in Lahore. It is directly operated from Singapore. It have a normal petrol with octane rate of 88-89, and they are putting up Hi-octane unit soon.
Most probably, they will be giving best hioctane in Lahore.
There normal petrol feels like high octane :p

The sound is not produced when the steering is turned full in either direction while the car is stationary and when the steering is rotated partially in either direction, while the car is moving. The tuk tuk sound is only produced when speed of car is lowered and steering is fully rotated in either direction to turn the car. Occasionally as well, the tuk tuk sound is not produced when the steering is fully rotated in either direction while the car is moving.

    What could be the issue?

PS: A respected member @ahmadbila gave this possible explanation, which is being reproduced here under:

guys there is absolutely no need to panic on this.i hope u ve already figured it out but if not, let me explain.

you all know that steering wheel needs a constant supply of electric current to keep the horn alive.but u also know that steering wheel always remains in circular motion so no solid connections can be made with to provide current. that's why they connect the steering piece with the steering column ( for electric current) with a small metal strip which keeps on running on the metallic circular strip of the steering wheel. this way, the steering is always in connection with the electrical circuit for horn even if its being turned.
i made a pic to illustrate what i m talking about here.

now the problem is that somehow the grease which keeps the two rubbing smoothly drys out some how, may be they dont use enough of it or may be they dont use it at all.so all u have to do is get it greased and it ll be gone for ever.nothing to worry about.
Bump!! Any help on this, please!

Did you take it to 3S workshop. Your car is under warranty so ask them to check. Though my previous 9th Gen had HPS, it also started giving similar noise on rotation. I took it to Toyota Rawal and after consulting the technical manual they did something and after that it was again smooth and noiseless. They charged just 500 rupees for it.
Be polite on the road. Always give way to others, particularly ambulances and pedestrians.

No sir, haven't taken it to 3S, but would visit them soon. Just wanted to know what could be the reason. Thanks a lot for the kind reply.

Assalamualaikum. Sir how much is your car driven ? It can be the way you drive ... try shifting at 2K to 3K RPM per gear otherwise the issue is with the petrol quality so try a different pump/brand. No issues have arised on normal 2NZFE corollas here in sindh running on normal petrol for the last 3 generations till date on normal factory specification tuning and parts. Try getting your car tuned from toyota if needed or some good mechanic. Mixing Hi-octane may not help if the fuel is bad and due to the knock sensors and auto fuel adjustment by the ECU, Iridium plugs may help but not by much due to the sensors in the newer cars but not if the fuel is bad. Fuel Filter can also be an issue.

Assalamualaikum Brother. Stop misguiding people. This mileage is only possible on highways and motorways. No intercity normal petrol car with 1800cc gives hybrid like mileages. Grande and Cruisetronic have SFI technology and CVTi transmission, not Hybrid Technology or D4D Commonrail Diesel nor Valvematic Technology. Stop and Go Traffic with hypermiling on the stated cars can give max 12 or 13 with ac, that even if you are really really cautious. Use the tank full to tank full method and do not totally rely on the instantaneous built in average calculating cluster reading. Peace Out !!
