The most depressing moment when you take a lot of care of your ride but a stupid driver finds a way to mess with it.
Few days back I was stuck in traffic jam and suddenly felt a huge jerk and when I stepped out, apparently a sensible looking man had struck my car from behind so hard that my car's bumper was pressed inside which later came outside but left a mark.
When I asked that what he did? Instead of admitting his mistake he said that "aap ki gari peechay hui thi". My car wasn't moving and even if it was moving I had to engage reverse gear and press the accelerator for such impact.
I knew nothing gonna happen, it is just like banging your head against the wall.......

Car is insured but I don't think that such damage would be covered in insurance.
I'm thinking to get a sticker but a friend of mine said that sticker would be hard to remove and it'll further damage the paint job and it'll remove a mark there.

What should be done to minimize its appearance? Where can I get a good quality sticker that won't damage the paint job?

PS: I know that many of you will say that such things are normal, ignore it. I agree to this statement and I also know that bumpers are not included in deciding the genuineness of the car but the thing which pinches me is that this mark is killing the whole look of the car. I may have ignored it if this was any non prominent place of the car but this is hard to go unnoticed......

Ok, so these cars have been booked by individual investors at these dealerships? So e.g. this car available in Aug will be on list price or upwards?

Grande does not have a longer waiting period. August delivery is from the manufacturer directly through dealership. The schedule is for list price without any extra own or premium.

This is an indication of when you will receive your car if booked today at official price of Indus.

Everything is possible but there is a cost or convenience level of possibility that matters and make those things impossible. The possibility is an option if with massive alteration process such as reconfigured ecu and entire locking system
So, to cut short. No it's not easily possible. You would be better off and it would be much more affordable to instead get a tracker or insurance. I really doubt the dealership 3S will help or promote such a thing.

I am having a debate about this with my friend. He is getting a 10 gen altis and is adamant that he can install either a premio's or axio's immobilizer into it. By swapping ecu's and other electrical components. He claims he knows a guy in Lahore who can get the job done in 30k. I am not sold by that. It can't be done that smoothly or can it ?

Like I said, it is possible with altering the entire locking system along with ecu. But maybe 3S dealership wont do it. But complications may arise later as such DIY jobs are not exactly reliable in the longer run depending on how lucky you are.

Frankly saying that's a tiny miny scratch. Go to a paint shop, and ask them to put a "kalam" on it.
My strategy: Buy a paint worth of 200rs, a paint brush and a "ganda wala compound" to take care of these bumper scratches

Let us see. Time will tell what will happen to this diy. He has two options. One is this and other is a security system for about 5k. According to him, it has remote starting, auto sunroof/windows close, auto retractable windows and so on. Again hard for me to digest.

I don't have a automatic corolla. It didn't work in 2002 vitz. And I have after market locking system in my 2007 vitz.

I remember when I used my 2002 vitz. Their was a time that when I used to put on the seat belt the doors locked. When I understand plugged the seat belt doors unlocked.

This happened around 3-4 months. Now it doesn't works this way
Get over the fact that Xli lacks power windows, Its an Xli because it lacks thoose features or else it would be a Gli or an Altis if had all the goodies.

Atleast in theory all you need is an ecu for the same engine and gearbox that comes with matching set of keys, and an rfid antenna, you just need to replace the ecu and add the antenna in the steering column and add a bit of wiring if the original wiring loom doesnt have the wiring already. No need to replace the whole locking system of the car. But like i said "in theory".
Mechanics have a way of trapping customers by offering weird features, they will experiment on your money and if anything goes wrong they will blame you/your car and parts for not working properly.
On a lighter note I am assuming here, i could be wrong that his mechanic probably has a axio/premio ecu left over which he is thinking of getting a refund on.

To put it simply it is complicated. Which immobilizer equipped car has the same engine and gearbox as the 1.6 altis manual ?
