[QUOTE=haseeb.basharat;5148467]Keep on Checking it till 1000kms, and when you go for the free service than ask them to look into engine mounts, this can be the issue of engine mounts

This is what sounds logical. But the thing is I am sceptical of my observations. The resonance is there. But I dont know whether its the mounts, the exhaust or anything else. If this is something built in in the corollas, then we would like to sell it as soon as possible without waiting for it to complete 1000kms.

is it ok to push it to motorway speeds right now as it only 70 km driven. I want to check how it performs at 120.

    GRANDE OWNERS PLEASE COMMENT.

i am experiencing vibrations in steering and floor of the car at 2.5 to 3k rpms. If i rev it above 3k rpms the vibrations go away. The vibrations are also slightly noticable in the steering on idle.
is it normal? The car is just 70kms driven.
I was experiencing the exact same problem in my Santro. The issue came out to be with one of the spark plug cable. Replacing it fixed the problem.

I didn't face this vibrations in my cruisetronic, get it checked at first 1000kms

To do the proper break in.
Drive it slowly till 300km, you can drive it upto 120, but don't do it harshly. After every 500km give it a power run while hitting the rpms to the top. Drive normally after that.
    Do it again at 700km, 1000km, 1500km and 2000km.
Did the same, using petron plus oil. My car is giving 12 in city and 16 plus on long.
Rpm stays very low on normal driving so engine break in isn't possible at constant speeds in cvt.
Keep on changing speeds. Try to drive it on tiptronic or paddle shifters in 1st 300kms

Just came back from Toyota ravi motors after getting my grande checked from a Toyota technician. According to him the car is perfectly ok.
I also checked another grande and felt no difference.
I guess this is the way this car is.
So we r thinking to sell this car on the cost price we paid plus registration
    Anyone interested may pm me.
    Thanks

This is awesome man. I sold my 1.6 to get new Civic, but yesterday when I checked it thoroughly at showroom, I was utterly disappointed, not a single thing attracted me to go for it. I did not not like its interior, though shape is good exterior wise, but not something to scream "forget everything else and bus lay lo"

Now Grande insha Allah after seeing the new goodies in it, esp the instrument panel and unbeatable fuel average and features like LCD and leather seats are standard. Simply more value for the money and peace of mind on all kinds of roads and terrain.

Guess average is a relative term and depends on the way you drive...my Gli manual which is only 7500 kms driven, shown average as 14.8 km/l......went to Faisalabad last year, filled up the car and again filled up on return...total mileage calculated from kms driven and litres put in was 18.2 km/l....I drive with a very light foot....motorways I stay between 100-110kms....my driving is mostly on main roads....my father's Gli manual which is 47000 kms driven shows average as 13.5 kms....his drives is mostly in stop start traffic.....so guess mileage all depends on where you are driving, which gear you are mostly using and the speeds you are driving at
we ride together......we die together.......BAD BOYS 4 LIFE!!!!!!!

If you floor it this engine acts like thirsty beast.....for isb to lhr my avg speed was 145 as I touched 190 couple of times just to test the waters and avg dropped to 11 kmph. So it sure depends on how you drive. On return I set the cruise to 110 with AC on through out.

One thing I keep reading here "Patla oil" is better for avg. In my experience it doesn't really matter, I m using 5w 50 nd going good.

Talking about new civic.....sure it has stunning looks but comparing new civic nd upgraded Grande... I also think grande is sensible choice. My personal experience is that shape is some thing one gets used to nd you don't feel it as charming as you continue to use it. Things that lasts are comfort, security nd features. Grande stands out here.

Yes you are right. "New shape ka bukhar" will come to an end after few months.
Eg, 11th Gen corolla was a head turner at it's launch and upto few months later but now it is just another good looking car on the road.
Every good and new shape enjoys this popularity for sometime.

I too own the same car and fuel average figures are pretty much the same (provided that you drive 80-90 km/h in 5th gear on long routes).

On motorway 120-130 km/hr average was 15 but at the speed of 160-170 average drops to 10 km/hr both are with 100% ac on.

It's perfectly fine, my 2010 gli gives the same, but my 1.8cvt give 11-13km/l depending upon the foot and traffic, and it give 15-18 on long routes depending upon speed.
On 160 it was giving 12 so fair enough for me. 😜
