Haha, no I had accidentally booked a 1.6 A/T w/o reviewing 1.8 cvt. I desperately need another car at home.

Guys book it up, new facelift model isn't coming anywhere soon.
There sales are already upto the top.
Why would a company bother for a facelift by spending billions if there sales is already hitting the roof?

Toyota indus never introduced a model change this early in corolla. They recently introduced a minor modification. They just can't change it right after 4-5 months.

lol...expect facelift in late 2017...no launch soon. Thailand has yet to launch it, and Pakistan follows 6-8 months later.

Well, well, same thing was said about Atlas that new Civic will not come in 2016 but in mid 2017, but it is here and that must factor in an early facelift by IMC. See they have already started surveys for new features.

It will not take any major modifications in the current shape. Front fenders and hood and rear will remain same. In front they just replace the existing bumpers and lights, frill and rear lights. Inside if any just a new dash, so they are in a position for early changes or add more features at added price as the market has a lot of appetite.

IMC has always been selling huge numbers and they do not need to change, had that been the case all variants except Xli would not have got all the goodies like climate control, jack knife key, immobiliser, dual air bag, new Imid in Grande and immobiliser in 1.6 with two more speakers (total six), mud flaps (in all variants).

Still worth waiting in my opinion.

I totally agree with you, but looking into the past, IMC have never introduced changes just after few months. Don't you think it will be against there tradition to launch it so early?

I have literally no idea about civics though, but IMC will always give changes after Thailand model because they have to import the parts from Thailand

Also, I have confirmed from sales managers of Toyota Ravi Lahore and Toyota Royal Motors RahimYarKhan.
Both are saying that It will come in the mid or end of 2017. 😊

Ok agree on facelift, but is there any possibility of some more features like push start, elect seats in next couple of months in the wake of ongoing survey?

I'm afraid. We'll have to wait for Thailand facelift for that. There are some countries which didn't even get front bi-led projectors in the headlight of facelift.
All I can advice is go for the booking, never expect high from Toyota for the mmc model.
Also, the sales manager of RYK dealership was saying that I don't think there will be any new model consider the improved one as mmc.
Toyota never did 2 mmc in Pakistan for same model.

Plus Indus must have seen the response to new Civic in Ramadan. 7,000 pre booked without even confirmation of final price and specs. This is a huge new development in the market, so IMC might bring thrown in some more goodies into Corollas, esp Grande or bring facelift early. Earlier they might not have feared Civic as its sales were not much, but now it has hit Pakistan like a craze.

Naa, probably it's a dealer survey instead of IMC.
I got the call from Ravi motors lahore after my first oil change, and they were also asking stuff like that, but it also included "rate service, mechanics bla bla"

Sorry to mention they asked 16 inch alloy

Facelift will come towards the end of 2017. According to a very good source at IMC.

Survey is a periodic thing - IMC wants to gauge customer feedback. Besides, selection of specs takes a long time, even if its a facelift.

Well i think IMC should introduce new features because facelift is not coming soon & from January 2017 they should think about adding these features.

    Push start
    Smart keyless entry
16" new rims with new luxo BG
    Projectors lights
    Auto dimming rear view mirror
    Auto adjustable seats

And no need for that kind of cheap rear entertainment screen present in honda

Dealers do not ask about car specs. Their only concern is after-sales

I think Indus has already responded to civic with much more upgrades in Grande than any other variant just to make it par with competition as only Grande compete with civic!.. My gut feeling also say no change before mid 2017... Toyota and honda usually give full time to each other to get benefit from the market

Its coming but why are people bothered. To me the facelift is less agressive. Not to mention they will probably just make a few changes to the current one. Buy the current one with peace of mind.
