By the way congrats on booking Grande....but if i were you i would have opted for Civic Oriel because it will give a total new experience as you already have kept 11th gen corolla...quality issues are common in pkdm...and you will notice compromises are made either in exterior or interior to bring the price in range.
Agree there are imperfections in every PKDM, but this time Civic has overtaken all others in low quality. People will realise down the road very soon what Atlas had done to them.

The total new experience Civic is Turbo 1.5, 1.8 has the old engine and it has no pedal shifters and manual mode, and then both these, even hard top are insanely expensive as for Oriel and Hardtop you have to pay extra 155,000 for leatherite and multimedia (which come standard in Grande ) and ma na konsi races lagani hayn ya doosron ko cut maar kay overtake kerkay khusn hona ha. For me this 1.8 is even so much. I can take it to any part of Pakistan from beautiful hills, mountains to deserts and to villages without any worries.

It's not about money. Both costs almost the same. It's about civic low height which will hit every speed bumps and congested rear seat room. My one friend told me that front seats are pushed to rear extreme in showrooms so visit it again. So I will visit it and if I feel it is not good, I will ditch civic for grande. Plus grande offers more in 23lakh than hard top civic. So basically you are saving 2 3 lakh.
I didn't check it back then but someone mentioned that dashboard is not padded and it's hard plastic. I need to confirm that though. The old corolla is pretty much high still it touches bumps, civic is just 153 mm. 😭
Abu ne bara zaleel karna hai if he doesn't like civic.

Just an advice Formula 1 Shampoo + Wax is good for daily wash / weekly / monthly which is available at METRO or Hyperstar? Any damage to the paint? Yellow bottle and yellow liquid.

as compared to civic 1.8, toyota 1.8 is better (mainly because better low end torque delivery being a DOHC as compared to honda SOHC) and also the cvt is superior to honda.

besides if civic 1.5 T had been a perfect fit and finish still dont see any reason to get it for 3.2 M. Why not a Benz or something german in that price. or even a R9 230 BHP would get a rear wheel drive too and serious fun factor too.

Dashboard is padded but it still feels kinda hard. Aur sir if speed bumps are a problem then they can be avoided easily. Rear room is not congested at all.

After all considerations and checking used cars. The added features are a plus point and we have decided to book a car. Toyota is asking 500,000 as booking amount and remaining to be paid later. Time indicated by the dealership is 30-45 days. Just one advise needed. How to get the sunroof lining fixed. Of all the cars seen at display this thing is a slight tick off in the interior and is a prominent one. Can this be fixed? If so, should it be gotten fixed from the dealership as a complaint at the time of delivery or some aftermarket worker? Or is it a DIY fix? Shouldn't be much of an issue to fix it properly.

MashAllah, such a great decision of yours.

Tell them that you won't take the delivery at any cost if it's gonna be there.
I told them before the booking that I want all body lines equal, and I don't want any unecessary gaps. Do the quality check thoroughly, otherwise you will fix it and I won't accept the delivery of faulty vehicle, and voila even trunk lines and hood lines had equal space in them.
They also gave my car high priority so everything was at its best 😊

I do plan to get an early delivery. Have a contact at one of the dealerships (can't name :p ) who offered me delivery at half own amount. Will ask him to pull strings if possible for delivery priority as well.

Avoided how? Considering the car is fully loaded. I was able to avoid them in city with 6 passengers and trunk full. So is it possible to avoid it with civic with same load?

Yes I have by the grace of Allah booked a Civic X and expecting it's delivery in next week I.A. I hope that doesn't mean I can't book a Corolla..... Lolz

Corolla will be mostly used by my Chacha who uses the car roughly and Corolla will take that thrashing.
