Donot ever rely on odo meter average if you are really interested to know your car's real life fuel average .. the averages mode is just fake and incorrect ..... the best way is to get the car fuel tank filled immediately when reserve light blinks/ appears and note the meter reading and the amount of liters you refilled... then check the meter reading once again immediately after using tbat fuel and reserve light starts blinking again....
For calculation now divide that fuel liters number with that milage and then you get the accurate milage .... rest every thing is just fake.

Dear sir, wanted to know how much fuel does the fuel pump possess in 11th generation Corolla Altis 1.6 as soon as the reserve light begins blinking?

I never tested to the limit, but have driven on Atlis 1.6 for 25 kms, when it showed zero range. The range is not accurate. Once in my 9th Gen Corolla the light came up as soon as I left Lahore Motorway Plaza and next pump was 50 kms away and it drove there on reserve.

Normally, the first thing I do after seeing the reserve light is to head to a filling station.

I think auto stop fuel method from same pump or even with same filling machine is the most convenient way and accurate as well, as you can fill it any time and calculate the average. Reserve light method seems accurate but only occasionally you will be near petrol pump when light start to glow also in many occasions you won't notice that reserve fuel light is on.

My method may not be 100% accurate or even 90% but as soon as it comes at half of the last quarter, i get a refill. Upto the brim.

Then i reset the meter (no rocket science there) and then carry on with my driving. Before the next fill when fuel is at the same position. I check the mileage. Check the amount of petrol i got last time. And then its just simple maths.

but u must consider this that their could a error in the meter at fuel pump too, intentional or unintentional. for e.g it is possible the meter shows 42 ltrs but actual amount can be 40 something . every measuring instrument is prone to some error. further the onboard computer on any car meaures the time period ur injector remains open to inject fuel basically as all injectors are electronic it measures the time it allowed electricity to the injector to operate. and as the oem has already programmed the injection value of the injector like how many cc of fuel it will inject in a sec . the ecu with the reading from trip meter is able to give fuel average . long story short . there is certain science and engineering involved in the millage figure u get on ur intrument panel. so it musnt be dicarded as fake so easily

I don't top up the fuel manually.
    I fill it up automatically.
    Toyota's fuel tank is 50liters.
On reserve you can fill up 40 liters. Rest of the 10 liters are in fuel pump fuel lines etc.

The full tank refills which I mostly do are close to meter average. Here is some record of fill ups.
