Default Good Mileage in CNG but knocking in Petrol

    1) I have Toyota corolla 1994 LX limited and in Peshawar CNG is easily available and it's gives me around 215 to 230 km in full tank. Tuning is done on regular basis. But once I visit to isb/rwp I have to travel on petrol then as CNG is not easily available there, but on petrol my car knocks. Is there a way in my car don't knock or do I have to tune separately every time for petrol and CNG (which is a tiresome job )???

    2) Is it safe for my car to mix HIGH OCTANE fuel with normal petrol ?? Total running is 125100km

when on petrol drive with light foot, the timing is adjusted to be bit advanced for the CNG running. There is absolutely no issue if you be extra careful when running on petrol., why you want to add hi-octane? to kill the knock which is not because of fuel but advanced timing.

well you can install a retarder like stap 00b, that will automatically readjust the timing when you switch to petrol

most mechanics won't know about this, the ones that do will tell you not to do it, they just are too lethargic for the job, it can be installed easily and will only have positive effects.

the knocking is because the timing is set for best performance on cng

Dear @cabsat ! Thanks for ur reply

I only want to mix few litres of High octane with normal fuel to have a smooth run and I have also heard that it reduces the knock on petrol.
Kindly tell me mixing few litres of HIGH OCTANE (HOBC) with normal fuel will make any negative impact on my engine or it will be fine ??
