Don't choose a car based on the difference in availability dates, if it's possible for you. Instead, choose a variant based on best value for money considering which features you want and which features you don't care for.

I chose a CVTi over Grande because I don't care for any features offered by the Grande. Below is what a Grande offers over CVTi and what I thought about those:

      - Sunroof: I never use it; air in Karachi is really bad so I don't wanna pay for it. I wouldn't get it if it were an optional feature for 20,000.
      - Rain sensor: I live in Karachi. What is 'rain' again? I wouldn't get it if it were an optional feature for 2,000.
      - Paddle shifter: CVTi also offers the same shifting functionality through the shift lever. You just don't have to move your hand from the wheel with paddles. Too little for too much price difference. I wouldn't get it if it were an optional feature for 20,000.
      - Leather seats: Leather you say? I think its leatherette. I wouldn't get it if it were an optional feature for 15,000.
      - Steering controls: Just like the paddle shifters you have the controls closer to your hand. A bit more convenient. I wouldn't get it if it were an optional feature for 20,000.

There is one thing though that I would've bought the Grande for, that is, IF they had had the good sense to put it in or at least offer it as an option. That one thing is automatic climate control or automatic A/c. I'd be happy to pay 100,000 for that feature.

If I lived in Islamabad my thinking might have been slightly different.

If what I just said makes sense to you buy a CVTi, otherwise buy a Grande.

Looking into above post.. brother you should've also mentioned that you can put Grande badge on your CVTi for Rs 500. Rest of features already meaningless for you Indus has to rethink now...

I would really like it if Indus paid attention to what a single idiot like me thinks and put auto climate control instead of a bunch of useless features.

I think a very balanced review and gives a good idea for selecting between the two variants available

Bro how about giving a similar comparison of GLi/XLi and CVTi. You might find most features of CVTi of no practical usage as well

Only 1.8 manual has the shortest delivery time i.e one month. Rest all have variants four-five months wait.
Be polite on the road. Always give way to others, particularly ambulances and pedestrians.

I went to Toyota Ravi and Toyota Shaheen earlier this week. Was told the expected date of delivery would be in late August.
