Exclamation Toyota Altis 2013 Poor fuel average

Hi all, I have a 2013 Altis 1.6 and the computer on board is showing me an average of 7.5km/l . That's even bad than the '07 Reborn I had. The mileage done is 35,000. What can be done to better this average? When should the spark plugs be changed ? Showing it to Toyota is no use, cause they can't service and maintain a vehicle except to con a customer.

My fill ups are more frequent. Getting less mileage / fill up too.... so there has to be something wrong.

    I know na that's why I'm saying its 7.5/L and not L/100kms.

I have the same Altis cruisetronic and I am getting 13-14 km/l in city......get it tuned and get the spark plugs replaced.......I change mine after every 20K kms.....get the ECU checked....probably it is giving some erroneous signals leading to shocking average

My car gets serviced at Toyota so I get the original ones from them....not sure weather they are iridium....I would suggest you to take the car to toyota and get all the sensors checked from them.....you will have a clear idea as to what is going on

visit Toyota 3S and get a detailed scanning & print out. to check correct average top up tank from a fuel dispenser reset trip meter and use car till such time the fuel alert lamp is on go back to same station same dispenser nozzle & top up again note the trip meter do some maths. do the ritual for 3 tank fills and that will give you per liter km average. Onboard computer get a ping from ecu every 180 seconds to calculate fuel consumption, reliable only over highways steady speed commuting

spark plugs other than the OEM specs are useless and waste of money. change of ONLY plugs does not improve the PERFORMANCE that is basless non-sense $hit myth created to make money.
