Default 2014 Toyota Corolla Altis Grande

    Salam members,

Let me introduce you to my new car. After six months of waiting i booked this car at Toyota Capital Motors Islamabad on 18th July, 2014. Initially they gave me an approximate delivery date of second week of August but i got a call from them just 3 days before Eid that my car was here. My Salute to them !!

Of course it was not an easy decision as i had to choose between Honda Civic VTi Oriel MT (2,253,000 PKR) and this Toyota Corolla Altis Grande MT(2,149,000 PKR). As both car makers have a longstanding reputation for delivering reliable and fuel-effcient family sedans. But finally i opted for this particular variant as it offers the best value for money and for the following reasons:

1.8 Altis Grande comes with the standard features like: Bucket Leather Seats (Softex Material), 8" Android based LCD with Navigation and Rear View Camera and Reclining back seats. Moreover, this relatively new Engine 2 ZR-FE is more responsive and fuel efficient as it comes equipped with SFi (Sequential Fuel Injection) and ACIS (Acoustic Controlled Induction System).

If they had introduced an iOS unit, price would have been bumped up by 1 lac or so
Turbo lag is like foreplay. You know it's coming. And it's gonna be good.

o bhai, why hyundai dealer tell you like this. I think there is no harm to use ac before 300-500km. when I buy my corolla, they not tell me to use ac after 300km. only need to drive slow, less then 100km/h. in saudia, how you can drive your car without ac?

11kmpl is an impressive figure for a new gem and it will increase with the running of the car. I think due to manual transmission it will give fuel average up to 16-17 kmpl on highways and 14-15 kmpl in city
    Regret is unprofessional...

Thank you. Yes, i think it will have good mileage figures. But let us see what the actual figures are going to be.

Well i was using this sort of gear arrangement in my previous car in Finland for the past one and a half year. So i am pretty much at home with this sort of gear shifting. And i don't know what is wrong with daewoo, my friend used to own one and it had the same problem. Whenever he engaged the first gear it used to hit the dashboard (cassette player) and would change the song being played. Hahaha..,

    Congratulations!
    Mashallah, beautiful ride.
After the '99 Gli Special edition this is the only Corolla that floats my boat
If it is not too much trouble could you post the pictures of speedometer at night ?
Also are the front lights of yellow tinge or blue ?

Thanks. Believe it or not, my father bought a 98 model corolla XE almost brand new and we kept that car for more than 8 years straight. It was truly an Engineering Marvel, a Driver's Car and a Rare Breed ! After that model, the next two generations were just your average cars. But like you i am hopeful this one is going to be as good as 7th Generation Corolla.

Sure, i will post the picture for you. Let me check that too.
