Default How to allign corolla 2012 tail lights

    Salam
I heard that it is possible to allign the tail lights of the 10th gen corolla by rubber screws. I would like to know how. My right tail light has more gap between the body tail light and the trunk tail light than the left tail light. Id like both tail lights to be in proportion and have almost equal gap. Pics should explain. 3s dealers near where I live are complete idiots and they know nothing. Will go to Islamabad if it is actually possible to have them aligned properly.

Yes I have seen it in majority of corolla's. It proves the lack of quality control in Indus.

it is mis-aligned indeed, a very common trait of locally assembled Japanese vehicles not only Toyota . you may try the right tail light outward assembly, bolts shall be unscrewed quarter threads and aligned with trunk lid section. there is space of approx 2 mm in each bolt hole to accommodate light alignment. make sure you do not damaged the rubber gasket of the light . Use soft cloth aprons when working on new car.

I'll probably take it to Islamabad and have it done there, because if I do it myslef I'll probably screw it up more. So it is actually possible to adjust it?

I had to do these quite a lot - I saw about 10 cars in which I had to remove the lamps and actually widen the hole - I think it was a sloppy body delivery (these body shells come from Hungary I think)

about every 8 or so car the gasket would be pinched too. I used to help it with wax

The problem seems to persist in the new corolla too. How hard can it be to allign the lights properly?
