the daboo setting is actually called "tappet setting" - real term = lifter bucket
toyota ZZ engines use solid one piece lifters compared to old models which had a coin shaped shim.
The one and only correct way to adjust the tappet gaps is to replace the lifter buckets with the correct size items (toyota sell 11 different size solid one piece lifters) - Its quite expensive work depending on how many lifters require changing.
If you send it out to a mechanic who will grind the tip of the valve stem to adjust clearance - KISS your engine goodbye and perform a ijtimaee dua in a masjid for its well being. - The valve is a case hardened item with a very strong skin. If you grind away the skin the valve becomes vulnerable to damage and eventually mushrooms out.
Approximate costing of 1 lifter is about Rs 1200/- your engine has 16 of these (sola wall injun) - so if all require replacement then the bill can go to Rs 19,200/- just for the lifters.
