    Default 2014 Corolla 1.3 GLi AT - aliusman420

So Alhamdulillah finally our brand new Corolla 1.3 GLi AT arrived today. Kindly do say Masha Allah
We needed a family car and this new gorgeous Corolla recently launched which everyone fell in love with so we decided to go for it. As it would have been a general family use car we decided upon 1.3 GLi, initially we were planning to go for the manual one as had doubts about the automatic one, but after reading what our fellow @InNoCeNt_DeViL stated in his review of the test drive he took of GLi AT, our decision changed and we booked the automatic one. Due to the unstable security situation in Islamabad test drives are not being given.
Date of booking on PBO was 19th August and car was delivered to us on 1st October.
So far loving every bit of it, Alhamdulillah money well spent.
It has put the critics to rethink their statement of the car being under-powered, Masha Allah the throttle response is very good.
Currently the car is a Night Rider it is mainly being used in the second half of the day.
    So here go the reviews:
    1. Quick review from dealership to home Page 1 Post #3.

    2. Short review Page 4 Post #65.
    3. Daylight pics Page 4 Post #64.
    4. Slightly longer review Page 5 Post #96.

    5. Comparison with Lancer Page 6 Post #116.
    6. Brief comparison with Prius 1.8 Page 8 Post #145.
    7. Recent pictures Page 13 Post #253.
    8. First ever long journey of the car review along with pictures, Islamabad to Lahore via Motorway Page 18 Post #359.
    9. Extensive detailing session carried out on the car Page 22 Post #421.

    Stay tuned for more updates

Don't worry its just a minor scuff. Nothing major al hamdulilah
I have exactly no idea how it happened. Went with mother to see the docter and parked my car in parralel. All I remember is that there was a silver rolla behind me. Khair came back home and noticed the damage. Now I don't remember if it was my fault or the rolla guys
Khair talked to a denter today and he said he said that it can easily be fixed without repainting as the car is total genuine even the bumpers and I*dont wanna paint them
Would post pics soon after the repair

No one will take better care of your car than you yourself.

Their 'lamination' is nothing more than a good paint sealant. (Autofinnese tough coat)
It will last 6 months maximum if taken care of properly- regular shampoo washes and Quick detailer wipes occasionally.

Ive seen ceramic pros work in photos. It didn't seem good enough for a coating. I personally wouldnt go for it.

    Just my two cents.

what products should I use so that it doesn't attract dust very often and stays shiny for prolonged periods of time?

Im using Autofinnese powerseal after proper base prep on my red swift. Protects against scratches and attracts no dust at all. You can make it last upto a year even in Pakistan.

Another option which would look even better is meguiars clay bar and follow up with Chemical Guys jetseal 109. It is a bit pricey but it looks brilliant and after the detail the car will be protected and be extremely slick to touch. Plus it makes maintainance super easy. When washing, the water beads up and rolls right off.

If you have trouble sourcing the products PM me.

Here is a picture of my swift after a wash only. Sealant applied 2 months ago.

Wow Ur swift is sparkling MashaALLAH, Would u kindly tell me about this "Chemical Guys jetseal 109". If i wana apply it to my car then do i need to do all that polish and glaze stuff before it or just Claying the car would be enough ??? Can this sealant be applied/waxed off by hand application only, i mean without the use of that "Dual action polisher" thingy ??? And plz share the price of this product and if u have any idea about its availability in Saudia ???Is this product good for black color or is there any other better brand than this ???
Sorry for throwing a bunch of questions ur way :-)

    Congratulations. Drive safe.

Get it Ceramic coated. Like opticoat or Cquartz. I have it on my car and it's worth spending some money. No dry dusting at all. No dirty "kaapra". You need branded range of products to keep black car exterior maintained.

Due to extreme weather conditions we face here , I left an attractive deal on an Audi A3 today. Reason it was black and it takes a lot of effort and dedication and motivation to keep it protected. Especially if someone is having clean car OCD.. Anyways go to detailing thread and experts will sure help you. Till you understand about it. Don't let anyone wash it with home shampoo or dirty kaapra. Not even take it to service station.

You just reminded me of my Uncle. When he purchased a new corolla he met my father and said "bohat tension hai nayi gri ki, Its too difficult to drive. You are completely scared while driving it" the other day he met my dad again. My dad asked him "tension release hoye?" and his reply was "sakoon aa gaya and tension bhe release ho gaye" on further inquiring he said "yesterday I hit the car in a pole while reversing and now gari na lagnay ki tension release ho gaye hai"

    Thanks a lot sir
Yes I don't use any cheap cloths, always microfibre ones and a wide range of Meguiars products. Ceramic coating as yet isn't available here in Islamabad and yes definitely never taking it to service station.
