so far i managed to find this data from net:

In December 1988, Toyota formed a joint venture with Holden called UAAI to build and market the Toyota Corolla as the Holden Nova. This agreement paralleled two Corolla generations including both the E90 and E100 series.[3]
Australian market engines:

• 4A-F ? 1.6 L (1587 cc) I4, 16-valve DOHC, carb, 95 hp (67 kW) CS, CS Limited, CSX & Spirit
• 4A-FE ? 1.6 L (1587 cc) I4, 16-valve DOHC, FI, narrow valve angle, 102 hp (76 kW) XL, SR5, CSi, CSi Limited, Olympic Spirit
• 4A-GE ? 1.6 L (1587 cc) I4, 16-valve DOHC, FI, wide valve angle, 135 hp (100 kW) SX, FX-GT & GTi
• 6A-FC ? 1.4 L (1397 cc) I4, 16-valve DOHC, carb, narrow valve angle, 81 hp (60 kW) SE
• 7A-FE ? 1.8 L (1762 cc) I4, 16-valve DOHC, FI, narrow valve angle, 115 hp (85 kW) Seca RV & Seca Ultima

Australian market chassis:

• AE90 ? Sedan, Hatchback (SE)
• AE92 ? Sedan, Hatchback, Seca (CS, CSX, Spirit, SE, SX, FX-GT)
• AE93 ? Hatchback, Seca (SX, GTi)
• AE94 ? Sedan, Hatchback, Seca (CSi, CSi Limited, Ultima)
• AE95 ? Wagon (XL, SR5, CSi, Olympic Spirit)
• AE96 ? Seca (RV, Ultima)

Note:

• Corolla Liftback was called Seca in Australia
• The Corolla 4x4 wagon (Sprinter Carib Wagon elsewhere) was released in mid-1988, Hatchback, Seca & Sedan released mid-1989
• SX is generally AE93 although on rare occasions they are found to be AE92R
• The facelift series 2 models were released in October 1992
• 6A-FC was only found in SE hatchbacks and early SE Sedans
• Corollas with 7A-FE engine were AE94 Ultimas in early 1992 and AE96 Ultimas & RV's in late 92 onwards

@awais Jan,
Dont know yet..if the existing engine is ok..than i dont swap..as in saudia lots of paper work for swapping an engine..my mumani (owner) of the car said the existing (2e 1300 cc carby) engine was in perfect running condition when they parked the car few years back in basement, the only issue was that its A/c was not working..(as far as she remembers)..its not power steering..manual windows 4 door etc etc..she said we use to go to Makkah & madina on her & that car use to touch 140km/h easily...(but she was talking about ten years back)...well i cant say anything untill i get the car started & have a test drive

Toyota Carri or Toyota Corolla E90 was the sixth generation model of Toyota Corolla. In Toyota Corolla E90, the rear-wheel drive was discontinued in 1986. In May 1987, the production of the Corolla models began with all featuring the front-wheel drive. Base, XL, GL, SE, and SE Limited trim levels were used for generalexport while the GT-i trim level was offered for sale in selected countries. Except for 4WD Sprinter Carib wagon that featured a solid axle rear suspension withcoil springs, all the rest featured struts all over. The 4WD wagon remained in production from 1988 to 1994 and was completely different from other Corolla models in term of bodywork. In the American market, it was sold under the nameplate of All-Trac, while it was sold as Tercel or Corolla in other parts of the world. Generally speaking, all the Corolla models dropped the boxy styling of the previous generations and turned to more modern and up to date looks as well as upgraded aerodynamics.
In Japan, Sprinter, a five-door liftback was known as Cielo and for European market, it was renamed as Corolla. In Ireland particularly, it was badged as Sprinter GLS for a good amount of period, though it appeared to be like a cheap decals rather than metallic-coated plastic badges commonly found on the Toyota’s models.
Toyota Corolla E-90 SX (Hatch Back) - Toyota Carri
The high performance GT-i models were offered as a 3-door hatchback, sedan and five-door liftback, equipped with a 4A-GE engine. The same engine was found in the North American GT-S coupe.
The car also won the Semperit Irish Car of the Year award in 1988.
Japan
The sixth generation Corolla E90 sedan received a 1.3-L engine with 4-speed or 3-speedautomatic transmission while the 4WD sedan gets a 1.6-L 4A-FE. SE-Limited G was the only sixth generation E90 Corolla that received a 1.5-L 5A-FHE engine.
Toyota Corolla E-90 SX (Hatch Back) - Toyota Carri 1
A supercharged engine was used in the AE92 and Trueno, equipped with SC12 roots type supercharger and a top mounted intercooler capable of generating 206 Nm (152 lb-ft) at 4,400 rpm compared to the naturally aspirated 4A-GE’s 136 Nm (100 lb-ft) at 4,800 rpm.

Salam,

Sir i guess i can help you out, as i am in Riyadh these days.
If you want to purchase new parts of this model then go to old industrial Area Al-Anuz road (Sanaya Gadeem in arabic) its the best place to buy Original parts as well as after market parts (known as tajari parts in arabic),if u want to buy used parts from junkyard then you can go to Al-Hair junkyard(known as Tashleeh Al-Hair in arabic) its way goes from EXIT 21 if you are coming from ring Road, Engine swap is not an issue in KSA, mostly people prefer to swap their car engines with used japanese engines rather to rebuild them, no documentation required for engine swapping, as on car document(istamara) engine number is not mentioned in KSA.
For tyres and other after market decorative Accessories such as sound system, seat covers etc etc you can get best deals from Gurabi Street in Batha Area.

your corolla seems to be repainted before,as its a 1989 base 1.3 XL model, according to Saudi Market it comes with black side mirrors, door strips, door hands and black bumpers.

if need any further help PM me.

Regards.

indeed it is, except for rear parts e.g. Rear lights and rear bumper is a big headache to get for these hatchbacks in KSA, as these cars were bought in a very limited quantity always. And being an old car even dealership dont have their parts in stock some times
