Unhappy Corolla xli 2006 - missing & jerks

    Hi Guys ,
I have a toyota corolla xli 2006 CNG installed. The car has been with us from day one as we are the first owners. Car was driven on petrol for the first 30,000 km then CNG installed. The mileage on ODO right now is 1,67,000 kms. Periodic maintenance has been up-to mark. Recently the engine has started acting up and the details are as below :

    1. Reducing water ..... every 50 kms it is reducing 1/2 litre water.
    2. Missing & jerks can be felt up-till 3000 rpms , beyond that its alrite however power loss is there. Engine noise has increased substantially. The intake manifold blew long time back & we removed the grill inside however i can easily identify the difference in sound change.
    3. The starting & engine noise isn't smooth at all. Got throttle body services, plugs changed, all filters & lubricants changed as per service manual.
    4. Dry compression test was carried out by my mechanic and results are 160 , 140 , 140 & 120. Accordingly to mechanic , one cylinder is weak & its needs a head job.

Engine was treated with Motor Protect at 90,000 kms & Certec at 1,50,000 kms. Using Liquimoly MOS 2 10-40 engine oil.

Xulfiqar & technical guys , please advise how to restore the engine to factory settings for optimum performance. I don't want to get ripped by toyota or road side mechanics during the course of repair work. Hope to have your valuable comments & feedback to restore.

    Ahmed

Is there oil in the radiator?

Check the cooling system closely for any leaks. Could be pin hole leakages.

when engine is hot & running check for radiator upper hose if it is hard-bone like some leakage is in cooling system. Try flushing it clean and renew coolant in system. such quick coolant loss from expansion tank is sign of leakage/ evaporation
