    Question whats the in n outs of converting a vehicle to AWD..

    well i want to convert corolla 86 (fwd) to awd...is it possible..any one out there ev done it before..??
    whts da rough estimate for it... ?

    The main problem Is running the prop shaft from front to rear. And mounting the diff the answers no buy a 4x4.

    Has been done in KHI to an AE100 Corolla, an EP71 Starlet, various GTTi Charades, etc.

    Ok that's cool you need to ask the owners was it worth the expense therule is any thing over 200bhp at the front wheels is the max. On the rear any thing goes. 4x4 anything goes if u spend money on gearbox you'll get the traction you need.

    yeh..i know it has been done with those cars...was curious about 86,wether i would be able to do it....of course need the traction!! so is it a NO for 86 rolla?

    sure thing fr the traction,thts y needing tht 4/4 stuff!! ready to spend the money...its my first project ,so i wil tak my time plus the complete workup needed before jumping into it...dont want to make it a waste...ne good suggestions??

    Better buy a converted evo or convert an evo urself.much much easier bolt on swap.huge market and huge aftermarket support.and huge fun and can be built scary fast
