Call Indus Motor Company, and ask them about official distributors of OEM Toyota parts in Lahore. If Niazi Autos is one of them, you should go for it. Make sure that you are getting the correctly numbered part for your car.

My car is 84000 kms driven... i need some advise from the experts....
as per the manual, fuel filter is to be replaced at 80000 km.. i also want to get it change....MASHALLAH my car has no issue regarding fuel....its giving a decent good average......

i asked the toyota motors sargodha, and they quote me 14000 rupess (including labour charges)for changing of fuel filter.....they said fuel filter price is 10800 rupees.........

i checked it from local market and an auto shop (Niazi Autos) is selling genuine fuel filter (as per their statement) at rupees 5000....

i am quite confused,, what to do..... i know that toyota costs extra money......

can some body please advise me who already has changed the fuel filter.....

AOA. A friend.recently.acquired a used 2012 Corolla and due to it taking long self-starts, we took it to a Toyota dealership here in Lahore.

Fuel filter issue was diagnosed, and we were also quoted 14000 rupees. Since he also wanted to get the oil/filter changed etc, and was sick of the long starting issue, we told them to go ahead and start work.

The fuel filter replacement on the Corolla is not only changing out a filter as we do on Mehrans or other cars.

There is a whole assembly which is removed from the tank - this assembly houses the fuel filter, and fuel pump as well.

Price is thus justified and u can always head back to Toyota Sargodha if any issues b4 the 50,000 kms till next change. This is not always the case with local shops and suppliers.

I got original Japanese fuel filter from a dealer in Pindi who supplies parts to 3S workshops and it cost 2,600 rupees. Gave 500 labour to Toyota 3S workshop for replacement. There were no issues as the car was then being run on CNG, but I changed on completion of 100,000 kms as precautionary/periodic maintenance.
Be polite on the road. Always give way to others, particularly ambulances and pedestrians.

Dear, I am also talking about that complete assembly. Otherwise just the filter, price would be pretty less.

Anyhow, I have got it opened up from the mechanic, and its still clean.
The mechanic has advised me not to get my car fuel level down, otherwise the Debris at the bottom will get into the filter.
