I had also se saloon 2005 model i changed its oil to zic A+ 5w20 and my car decrease more then 1 liter after 4k km before this no oil decreasing problem the last owner was using havoline .now which oil should i use hovoline 10w40 or 20w50 ??
5w20 is not recommended for this engine. this grade is used mostly in jdm imports (that too isn't recommended in summer) and Pakistani cars with relatively new engines (k series wagon r for example). the lowest u can go with se saloon is 5w30. use havoline 10w40 and than shift to 10w30 in next oil change.

Toyota?s recommended oil for this engine is 5w-30.
And you are right that fully synthetic oils are better for longer time change intervals and also for better performance.
Depending upon your choice, go ahead to choose any oil from
    5w-30 or 5w-40 or 5w-50
All these three oils are synthetic & very good.
Price wise only 5w-30 can be cheaper than others.
You can keep change interval as 6~8K.
Required quantity is 3.7L with filter.

SAE 20 oil is recommended for several Pakistani cars. The 7th gen EXi can take 0w-20 even above 40*C. The NZ series (XLi and GLi) and the 1ZZ FE (1.8 Altis) have been back specced by Toyota to use 5w-20 oil, while the 2AZ FE (Camry) takes 0w 20. The 3ZZ FE (SE Saloon's engine) wasn't back specced though.

But xulfiqar bhai, would it be ok to use such low viscosity oil, that too being fully synthetic, in a 10 year old car. There might be instances of the engine being sludged up. Plz clarify

Yes exi and vti allows the usage of 0w20 too for extreme temperatures. I have also seen in the owners manual. I had a saloons's manual and the minimum viscosity was 5w30. Now all the saloons, including @ranajawad.tariq bhai's car are nearly 10 year old and would probably have sludged up engines ( if not maintained well). So will such thin viscosity being fully synthetic be appropriate???

Lower viscocity oil will not remove sludge; the detergents in the oil will. Even a 5w-50 or 10w-60 Mobil 1 will clean the built up sludge.

If the sludge was plugging any leaks, this could potentially cause excessive oil consumption. In that case, the engine's problem should be rectified instead of driving it around with sludge inside.

Sludge is not supposed to plug leaks; it shouldn't even be in the engine in the first place.

my own car is 15 years old, it has about 285,000 kms on it and I drive it everyday - I use mobil 1 0W40 (or similar oil from a good source - including some diesel oils) with fleece filters and change it at 24,000 kms

working like a clock - no sludge no issues and I do boot it sometimes.

when I bought it - the previous owner was a bit goofy - he was using paper filters installed by stupid mcidiot mechanic at shady oil change place I think because the filter was not properly seated onto the holder and oil was infact bypassing the filter completely.

the engine sounds like a classic singer sewing machine and has good solid compression and good oil pressure too.

You should use Zic A 10W40 or Shell 5W30

Ustaad g even say that oh teen hazar km oil change karo boht kala hai and even some smell the oil. Here in pakistan once i told a mechanic i drain oil at 10000km changing oil filter twice, he said apka engine khtam hai lol. It was Mobil 5W30 synthetic and even after 275k km car had solid compression. Direct pankhay and w/o thermostat is killer for engines basic reason that engines fail early here.
