Default Poor petrol fuel economy on 1996 1.6 Corolla GLi

Aoa. I own a 1996 Toyota Corolla with a 1.6 EFi engine. The problem is my car does 8-8.5kmpl on petrol in city without AC. On CNG, it used to give me around 130-140km in a 50kg tank, which is acceptable.

I've heard people claiming 12-14kmpl on the same model Corolla. I clean the air filter on a weekly basis. The tyres have 30PSI of air in them. Engine oil is still in a good condition. In short, the car is mechanically fit. But this fuel economy issue is worrying. As summers are now approaching, im afraid my car would do 6-7kmpl with the A/C on. Any responses would be highly appreciated.

check silencer for black deposit if it is a lot in quantity then you air/fuel mixture might be a problem .....sometime your sensor not working properly and you get low fuel economy..

Sir, first of all please mention the milage of your car, and secondly, change the fuel pump and fuel filter, and fuel pump must be genuine and new.
