Default Toyota Corolla Indus Camshaft Issue

    Hi

I have recently bought a corolla indus model 97/98 XEG 1300cc power pack but it has an issue. It's camshaft is making sound when I start engine in morning time but when engine gets heat up, then there is no any noise in engine. Can anybody let me know what will be its cost if I go to replace the camshaft. Also provide me details regarding its tuning and wheel alignment and wheel balancing cost. I am also looking for a proper mechanic in Karachi or I should go to Toyota western motors near Johar?

How did you isolate the noise is from the camshaft?

a worn camshaft wont go quiet when hot.

so if a cam lobe get damaged so complete cam will be changed or it is possible to replace the lobe only

P.s I know a complete camshaft wont cost much and separate lobe will be every hard to find but still

It could either be a piston slap, oil strainer or the oil filter partially clogged.
