Default 11th Gen Corolla (Hornet): An Unlucky Affair

Introducing Corolla GLi 1.3 (Super ECT)
Asalamoalikum respected PakWheel members and guests.
Alhamdolillah, Allah has blessed me with this brand new car after I let
Viper go to its next handler and keeper, after a very satisfying experience of a little over four years. With blessing from Allah (S.W) and friends like you, I hope to make this is a no-nonsense, extremely informative and enjoyable thread just like Viper. This cannot be possible without your support, appreciation, critique, guidance, sharing and participation. So hop in, like and subscribe.

But, the driving experience has not been anything more than average. The only aspect in which this car stands out (at the moment in Pakistan) is its shape.

Spot on, I felt like a Jack A** when I saw a couple on a CG125 enroute. I just don't know why we spread rumors so horribly fast. Not once did I hear or feel the engine struggling. Baqi jitna gur dalo gey utna meetha hoga. But I'm happy for the decision of 1.3 as against 1.6

Not just to reduce the tyre wall height for cosmetic reasons but to get it to be more grippy for cornering. I'm just not very comfortable with too much air in a large tyre wall height.
But that is personal preference and it may or may not apply to you.
Applies to me. improves the car handling surely. m using 195/50/15 in my margallah and will low seating position and sharp turn in gives so much more feed back and driving experience is enhanced.

besides the traction rating of tyres only increase once profile goes down. you might not be able to find AA rating in 195/65/15.

These are small items and you can bring along easily and are definitely worth it.

Rest have a safe journey and pray for us.
still better option could have been extreme vision.
trying to arrange them as discussed, will share results once i get my hands on them.

    Congrats on your new ride.
    Going good.
I went to Sarmad Motorsports and the owner told me about you regarding your query about the seat covers I guess.
Can you tell me about the chrome latch, where did you get it from and the total cost for the steering control job including parts. I have seen the break up about but confused about the total cost. Also confirm the shop from where i can get OEM steering controls
    Thanks.

Chrome door latch (OEM Toyota) set of four is going to cost you around 4000/- through a contact who sourced them for me from Thailand. They were packed in Toyota genuine packaging. Got them verified for authenticity and fitted for free at one of the 3S Toyota.

Option 2 (Half Alteration): Full Steering Controls + Horn Pad/Cover + Connections in Existing Spiral Cable) = 16,000/-

Congratulations Fouadbakht on getting the new vehicle and thank you very much for in depth and detailed review. I have two queries. Number one is can't the existing horn pad/cover be used with out alteration for the new controls and may be swapped directly as it appears to same in both the arrangements. Secondly can we install a Cruise control system in this variant of corolla? This speedometer/instrument cluster appears to be the same offered in USDM corolla and may have a cruise light which is required to complete the circuit for the cruise function?

This is exactly what I want to confirm also asked another member from Karachi who also had 11th Gen GLi A/T but he could not figure out about the availability of the cruise control light. This instrument cluster is exactly the same as following USDM corolla speedo so can't say for certain
