Default 11th Gen Corolla (Hornet): An Unlucky Affair

Introducing Corolla GLi 1.3 (Super ECT)
Asalamoalikum respected PakWheel members and guests.
Alhamdolillah, Allah has blessed me with this brand new car after I let
Viper go to its next handler and keeper, after a very satisfying experience of a little over four years. With blessing from Allah (S.W) and friends like you, I hope to make this is a no-nonsense, extremely informative and enjoyable thread just like Viper. This cannot be possible without your support, appreciation, critique, guidance, sharing and participation. So hop in, like and subscribe.

But, the driving experience has not been anything more than average. The only aspect in which this car stands out (at the moment in Pakistan) is its shape.

9th Gen civic driving experience is awesome... its grip on motorway and cornering is awesome especially if you put 16 inch with 205 55 ......

Its low seats are comfortable compare to corolla and absolute salient engine even on 160 plus....while corolla has loud sound...

Lets not make this 9th gen Civic vs 11th Gen Corolla
But since i kept one for more than a year and then went back to the 8th gen i can confidently say even with 16 inch tyres the 9th gen civic has the worst and most pathetic road grip at higher speeds even bad than 7th gen civic and 10th gen corolla
This new corolla has better road grip than 9th gen civic
I had tested it many times at higher speeds

Seats are very comfortable without any doubt

    About cabin noise
    I believe Grande beats Civic

Maybe you said earlier nothing wrong with 9th gen while it was clear that car was bound to have poor grip due to clearance. And still people do say it.

Default 11th Gen Corolla (Hornet): An Unlucky Affair

Bhai saab, don't know, what went wrong in between you or your ride but at least remove this title"an unlucky affair". It's pathetic..
It feels like something went horribly wrong with your ride..
Allah sab key liye Khair karey.. Ameen.

I said nothing wrong with 9th gen ??
What do you mean by this ?

You can check my threads and posts
i always said 11th gen corolla even with eurostars handles better and feels better at even 160 as compared to 9th gen civic with even branded tyres
    About other things
Yes 9th gen is a really really nice car
    Its not a perfect car
And same is the case with 8th gen , no doubt it wins our hearts in many aspects but its not a perfect car either
Infact seats comfort level interior layout and features and better visibility of 9th gen civic beats 8th gen civic
    Road grip is something different
Anyways lets keep this thread clean

corolla has never been wind drag friendly... the 10 gen corolla is lower than the new one but it also gets like that at those speeds... they aren't aerodynamic as they are wide

This is wind tunnel tested design.

am sure it must be a wind tunnel tested design but don't you think, the height of their test vehicle was lower than our version, just wanna to clear if height effects or not..

Any car with high center of gravity will have lesser stability, particularly at high speed. Having said that these cars are not meant to be involved in a drag. These econ sedans are purpose built to carry you in the city as well as on highways with ease and comfort and that a little more ground clearance adopted to cater to local road conditions and bumps does not affect that role.

However, these cars are not for Fast and furious type actions.

Wese i have observed a very different and unique behaviour of pakwheelers after the launch of new corolla this time
Infact pakwheelers is the wrong word
11th gen corolla fans owners lovers and haters
Even after so much discussion and after discussing same pros and cons over and over again in Corolla's main official launch thread
We are ruining the threads of cars like Hornet

    Pls try to understand
Thers a lot of difference between a normal corolla you see on the road and Hornet
A normal beaten up 8th gen civic you see daily on the road and Viper
    So its a humble request
Try to focus on our Fouad bhai's Hornet
And we already have 11th gen corolla's official launch thread for general discussions
    No offence

Just like your Predator's thread became a Discussion forum and totally drifted away from its original purpose while you were away.
