Default 11th Gen Corolla (Hornet): An Unlucky Affair

Introducing Corolla GLi 1.3 (Super ECT)
Asalamoalikum respected PakWheel members and guests.
Alhamdolillah, Allah has blessed me with this brand new car after I let
Viper go to its next handler and keeper, after a very satisfying experience of a little over four years. With blessing from Allah (S.W) and friends like you, I hope to make this is a no-nonsense, extremely informative and enjoyable thread just like Viper. This cannot be possible without your support, appreciation, critique, guidance, sharing and participation. So hop in, like and subscribe.

But, the driving experience has not been anything more than average. The only aspect in which this car stands out (at the moment in Pakistan) is its shape.

Changing tyres and swapping suspension is entirely a different thing. Next time you would be comparing tyre change with engine swap.
Tyres are considered consumables and they are changed every 2,3 years.
Yes, unfortunately Eurostars are stock (not a consumer's choice btw) but judging car's road grip while having such a hard tyre is not a wise thing. Plus, When a car is brand new, you need a small amount and 15 minutes to replace Eurostars with something better.

Even the indian version of corolla has the rear gap. I have also seen this gap in some of the indian reviews. Dont know if IMC or toyota japan ruined the basics of this car.

hope @fouadbakht re-consider his thoughts for the HORNET and give her a chance to get settle in his family.

Friend get it registered, I know you are keeping it on hold because of the dislikes, its ZERO meter ride not a used-one for which one thinks again-and-again.

Keep her for some time, and get it change next year

Well, 10th gen corolla has lesser arch gap but still that model is good for our roads. But this new generation has more gap than 10th gen.

Kuch sharam hoti hai, kuch haya hoti hai.

10th gen had a lot of complaints front bumper touching the bumps which is resolved in 11th gen. Arch gap may be related to that.

Fouadbakht bhai ye sub kertay hain. Even honda uses old gen parts in new one. Some people specifically target Toyota to malign it's sales because they have no other way around to beat Toyota.
For some reason Toyota is world's n.o 1 car manufacturer and Corolla has sold 40+ million units.
Yaha ki baat hi nahi ker raha because idher koi competition naam ki cheez hi nahi. Toyota outside is far more superior then what they are here due to IMC. I know because I had JDM Corolla Fielder which zillion times ahead then it's sibling PKDM 10th gen corolla, they shared the same e140 series platform but man fielder was just BOSS!!!

Yes, unfortunately Eurostars are stock (not a consumer's choice btw) but judging car's road grip while having such a hard tyre is not a wise thing. Plus, When a car is brand new, you need a small amount and 15 minutes to replace Eurostars with something better.
Suspension is a consumable aswell in that case. A car is ment to be reviewed in the condition that it came to you, not in the condition you made it to be after a spending a reasonable amount. If changing the tires enhances the drive, comfort and what not, credit should be given to the tire company then. Not the car manufacturer. Hope you got my point.

@fouadbakht. It's your money, but I would advise you not to dump it on a car that you detest because no matter how much you spend on this 1.3 and that too AT, you will never enjoy it. Keep it stock as much as possible because in the end all those extras are not going to bring more price for the Hornet when you go to sell it.

Plus you have created so much doubts about Hornet that, it is unlikely to go quick like Viper on PakWheels. Just my 2 cents.
Be polite on the road. Always give way to others, particularly ambulances and pedestrians.
