Default 11th Gen Corolla (Hornet): An Unlucky Affair

Introducing Corolla GLi 1.3 (Super ECT)
Asalamoalikum respected PakWheel members and guests.
Alhamdolillah, Allah has blessed me with this brand new car after I let
Viper go to its next handler and keeper, after a very satisfying experience of a little over four years. With blessing from Allah (S.W) and friends like you, I hope to make this is a no-nonsense, extremely informative and enjoyable thread just like Viper. This cannot be possible without your support, appreciation, critique, guidance, sharing and participation. So hop in, like and subscribe.

But, the driving experience has not been anything more than average. The only aspect in which this car stands out (at the moment in Pakistan) is its shape.

Yes i agree what you have said about swift but in driving pleasure swift is better
Rest vitz is better interior layout
    Quality of plastics
    Space
Everything is better in vitz plus you get power retractable mirrors
    And airbags
You made more confuse to me. I was much more inclined towards Vitz.

Swift ka karcha Aspire 1.5 se bhe zyada hoga

As we are getting 12 with full time AC on in city and 15 with full time AC on at highway.

The plus point of Swift is i'll get a brand new car. But i will have to compromise because i need an auto one. So Vitz is the only option.

@fouadbakht Good luck bhai with the Vitz, but (it's my personal opinion) you further downgraded your ride as @innocentdevil said.
Be polite on the road. Always give way to others, particularly ambulances and pedestrians.

When i was looking for a used 8th gen Civic i myself checked many 4.5 grade Vitz
At one point i made my mind to go for it since it seemed almost impossible to find a neat clean Reborn and keeping two 1.3 Corollas was not a good idea
As you already know aap se 1 hazam nae hui mai 2 kese hazam kerta
Then before taking any final decision i decided to take a test drive of one of the Vitz
It was a 4.5 grade car in almost brandnew condition
    Anyways
The moment i started driving it i realised it was not the right car for me
The 3 cylinder 1.0 ltr engine just ruins the overall pleasure
It almost felt like i was driving a 2006 passo same response same engine sound ( which is really bad no offence ) same feel at the steering and gas pedal
I think these both have same engines if i am not wrong
Anyways what i am trying to say is very simple
This old 2nz fe in new corolla Gli Auto still gives much much much more driving pleasure than Vitz
Road grip is much better than vitz
I mean there is no comparison and I am afraid you have taken another bad decision
When Gli Auto simply failed to impress you Vitz is nothing to talk about
I agree in hatchbacks it is one of the best
    But still lacks driving pleasure
And if you really wanted to enjoy the driving pleasure ( your main concern ) then you should have gone for a brandnew swift or new shape of jdm imported swift
It has excellent road grip acceleration and driving pleasure

    Khair
    Still many congrats

    And Get well soon Bro
Nice review, didn't know vitz have such a bad repute.. Always heard good reviews..
anyways good luck for fouad sahib..

Default 11th Gen Corolla (Hornet): An Unlucky Affair

Well it's too soon to comment but the Vitz came after lots of deliberations with one simple word of caution: Do not repeat the same mistakes again. Levelled out all pros and cons, ironed out all doubts and only then the Vitz came.
Indeed a larger sedan is a different category but guys give me some credit until I let the cat out of the bag.
    Cheers.

Am exhausted despite doctor's advice not to exert and here I am selling the Hornet and getting the Vitz. It's a painstaking process and am too tired right now.

The last minute advice from a good trustworthy friend or a slight push off the cliff is sometimes a very important factor in decision making.
A great thanks to @KamranAslam for suggesting Vitz than Passo. Another great thanks to @Spano who didn't receive my call but he's another good friend too.

Mubarek hoo bhai. You are in the exact position as I am. After selling my fielder I too bought new shape vitz. Just waiting for the right car and the right moment then upgrade scene on.

For Vitz, what a beautiful ride it is. Perfectly balanced all over. Best car for roaming around and unlike 1.3 gli it atleast has a character. Anyways, may you get the best ride soon IA.

To me , it is a downgrade for sure.I had a Lancer A/T 1300CC till last year.Sold it and purchased a Vitz 1.0 2011 Model (DEC 14 import).I was impressed by good looks and CVT transmission of this VITZ, but after few weeks of driving I said to me "Yeh kya chawal maar de hay". This 1.0 was not even close to the "Feel" of my Ex heavy weight Lancer. So I sold it after two months and booked a 1300 again (GLI).This story is quite slimier to Fouad bhai's (about his Hornet). But here I wish him good luck for Vitz and search of other suitable car of his calibre

    Vitz I had
