Default Engine Changing of Corolla 88 from 12 VALVE to 16 VALVE EFI

    Dears,

I want ot change the engine of my corolla 88 (Quota 92 mean register in 1992).

Currently 12 VALVE carburetor engine is installed by default (Factory fitted). The current engine was over heated some days before due to radiator. I replaced the radiator, change head gas kit and facing the head, Now it is working fine, AC is also working perfectly.

But I want to change the engine because i drive long and on hills areas, some time it make difficult for me to overtake , the pick of car is also not good on this engine and on AC the car goes down.

Please suggest me the EFI engine OR Engine and techniques that i can care during engine changing.

    Attached are my car photos.

I have 4E in my AE but i still prefer 5A and dude please do not buy the engine without proper and complete uncut wiring, otherwise it will be a pain in the *** for you. Even after 2 years of my 4E I am still facing wiring issues.

Go for 5A 1600cc, not much of a difference in consumption too.

    5A-FE is 1.5L not 1.6.

    1. By Inspecting It Thoroughly...Take Someone Who Can Inspect If You Have No Idea Of It

2.By Inspecting Again...Best Way is To Do Compression Check But No One Will Let You Do It...So Go For One Which Looks Clean/Low Mileage By Inspecting Opening Its Cam/Tappet Cover...Inspecting Water Lines..Sld Not Be Corroded...No Sign Of Seal Leaks ....Looking Physically Clean...Opening Spark Plugg Etc

    3. Ask @spectra / @hash4u.... Or Anyone From RWP Who Have Done Swap Before...

    4. By Checking It WITH Excise And Taxation..Usually Kabli Imported Engines Have Diff Serial Batch Than Locally

    5. Find Engine With Complete Uncut Stuff..Including Air Cleaner Box Grip To Grip Wiring ..and Don't Forget To Ask For Atleast 1 Month Replacement Warranty
