Default Corolla 88 Engine Swap, Need Guidance & Suggestions

I am writing this on someone's behalf, originally the car had a diesel engine but previously it was swapped with 5AFE and now the owner want to swap it with a petrol engine of newer technology. The engines in consideration are:
1NZ-FE 1.5L of 2010 model (came in premio)
1ZZ-FE 1.8L of 2006 model (came in premio)
3ZZ-FE 1.6L of 2006 model (came in altis)

Can its also possible to swap with the lastest 2ZR-FE or 2ZR-FAE??

    1. Want to know about pre-swap technical details and other information about engine, related parts, and its compatibility with the car?
    2. The hard part of wiring these engines.....can anyone knows who is doing best wiring of these engines (anywhere in Lahore, Pindi, Peshawar, Karachi)?
    3. And the price of these engines in Karachi, Pindi, Peshawar, Lahore?

Anyone having past experience with these engines will be very helpful.
    Thnaks....

with size 13 wheels this car had 1.3 carb engine only - 1.5 & above TTC engine in this car by default had size 14 wheels.

Size 14 will stabilize your car with the type of power EFI engine will produce. -
And what about lowering the height of car?

You are right, he must have given us the OEM header. It looks like the OEM header is also short than the installed one. Now it is clear that its not an OEM header. So if we install an OEM header of 1NZ-FE engine, can the clearance be increased between headers & steering rack and the issue will resolve to some extant? Later will also add heat wrap & custom heat shield.
thank you for being kind, with having patience to bear few of us.

Lowering car is not advised you may encounter frequent under carriage scrapping with the pavement, specially when occupants are grown up adults enjoying the ride comfort and having fun.

Its you people who have more patience because I am continuously asking questions, so I am thankful to all the guys.

I am also thinking to install strut bar. Is front strut bar is enough or rear is also necessary?

In small D-fround or big D-ground?

It would be easy for me if I found such stuff in isl/pindi because swap will be done in pindi and it will be easy for me to get all stuff from one place.

A single layered shield might not be enough. It would be best to make two layers and sandwich fiberglass or glass wool between the two layers like @Xulfiqar said. I'm thinking of doing the same in my car too now.

For the header, you will need to do a custom job because all the cars that came with this engine have ample space between the engine and the firewall.

In Rawalpindi, there is a shop in Saddar by the name 'Moqeem Autos' who also deals in VW parts. They had the heat wrap in stock some time back. You can try your luck there. https://www.facebook.com/Moqeem-Auto...1372/timeline/

People's colony Main D ground, a shop by name of Haseeb Thermal Engineering they use to deal in industrial boilers and repair services in 2010. You may also need to check the hardware shops on Satyana road. But my information is stale as of 5 years .. - so do not trust because it is on Pakswheels ! @qwertypoiu

So in this case can I go for lowering springs?

Yes, cluster panel do have indicator light but I never seen my indicator light in action.

So only fuel pump will change, and for that purpose modification in fuel tank will be needed.......Am I right?

I suggest. ask the yard dealer to show you exhaust manifold from 4 cylinder VITZ / BELTA /PLATZ, The engine bay for both cars is small and am sure if you can get hold of 1 unit directly from engine personally your problem will be 80% solved 20% will be about the exhaust fabricator.

Since You Swapped A Z-Gen Engine In Earlier E Series Car....Your Firewall Clearance To Engine Is Quiet Less...In That Case I Would Suggest Heat Wrap + Shield....Else BEside Steering....Passenger And Driver Will Also Feel A Nice Warm Mild Sensation While Driving.....! Good For Winters To Make Your Soles Warm....!

This is also a good idea. I think fiber glass comes in two forms, soft & hard.......which will be used? Its easily available as compared to heat wrap........where can I get fiber glass in Isl/pindi? And what is glass wool? Your car also have this steering rack clearance issue?

Today I saw Corolla Xli 2007/2008 model having 2NZ-FE engine, its headers are very short & also have short curves. They look like the one whose picture is shared by @capsat , in fact they are looking smaller than the picture.
