    Default Grande Compressor noise

For last few days, I was hearing a weird noise at low rpm in first couple of gears from my Grande Cvti. Yesterday I discovered that it starts as soon as AC turns on. Today I went to Toyota Walton and they said it comes from AC compressor. They also told me that it is a known issue in 1.6 and 1.8 variants. Once I asked them for changing compressor in warranty they said that if this sound comes from almost all cars (they showed an example nearby) then they can't claim in warranty. Toyota Walton warranty coordinator told me that they have contacted Indus and they have been instructed not to change compressors under warranty. I spent almost 2.5million on local crap with zero support from manufacturer.

Just a suggestion, go to the car wash near your house, open the bonnet and tell the guy to wash the radiator and ac grill with pressure water, don't let him wash the engine or spray something simple water, because of the weather, the dirt particles present in the grill and compressor will give you a noise, after this process the cooling will back to normal and sound will disappear.

what a totka you gave but thats not the case.Previously i owned Corolla 2009 a moaning sound was produced by the compressor of car got it checked and problem was bad clutch bearing and same case is happening to my Mira 2008 same noise and got it check same clutch bearing noise of Ac compressor. So get it checked by some professional.

Its a moaning sound which is usually caused by bad bearing of compressor or when you are low on FREON

Never get your radiators pressure sprayed, it will turn, twist the fins and block air passage and evaporation. Basically you kill it when you perform pressure hosing of any radiator core.

I wonder why a similar vehicle standing beside had the same noise. By the way, it is like a dim whine produced by motors and one has to listen very closely.

ODO on my vehicle is just at 3000km so I am sure radiator doesn't need cleaning. FREON pressures were checked and found on spec. AC mechanic used stethoscope and found the noise originating from compressor. May be bearing noise. Let's see what Toyota Indus says if they mind replying to customer issues.

Call IMC direct and explain the situation. Also go to a different IMC service centre don't explain too much just tell them that you got notice coming from somewhere in a brand new car under warranty.
