It means after 6month oil starts to change its chemical composition and will not remain in its original state even if car was not much driven on that...its just like expiry date..

Total sells their Quartz line directly, and they even offer oil changes at your doorstep. That should be as validated of a source as it can be. Search for total Pakistan and you shall be able to navigate to their online ordering easily.

As regards to change intervals, it is strongly advised to stick to manufacturers recommendation. Further as our climate is hot and dusty more care is required while changing of oil and filter. Pls inspect the funnel and cans that are used while refilling engine oil.

Please also remember that using synthetic oil does not mean that you should extend the drain/ change intervals.

5K miles means 8050 (Km) for Oil change interval............................This means my oil dealer was right, he wrote that change oil after 8K (Km) ........& i managed to change it after 9.5K Km but Alhamdolillah oil drained out each drop to last drop..btw oil was of Total---5W-30(Synthetic)

If anyone can source authentic and original shell oil, there is no problem using it.

i got shell helix hx5 10w40 2 weeks back, my alto pkdm 2011 is 40k driven, so far after oil change the engine is a little noisy, but what mr @Xulfiqar is saying if thats the case then after few hundreds it should become less noisy.

i got open engine oil from shell f-6 islamabad, 3.0 litr exact. it was 510 rupees per litre.

they poured in the engine oil from automated pump from a huge barrel

before i was using total quartz 10w40 and the engine was not noisy at all.

Never buy Shell oil from a shop, always from Shell pump.
