Default AC compressor for Altis 1.6 Auto (2013)

    Asalam o Alaikum,

My ac compressor of altis 1.6 keeps on tripping by itself. Got it checked from several mechanics and all suggested that compressor should be altered. The thing is .... 1.6 auto has a double sensor compressor and I don't know if its ok to alter it with older kabli or 2005 corolla one. Can any1 suggest anything here ?

If the warranty has not expired (being 2013) then its best to avail the opportunity.

see if its under warranty.. else get a replaced one,

price of slightly used should be 12k, while new one should cost u around 23k from denso,

also check if there is no gas leakage,
people who use Highbeams.. once day would suffer too bigtime. People who drive slow on fast lanes, remember one day a vehicle carryin ur son, dad might get late to hospital coz people like u. underaged driving will land u in bigtime trouble one day or the other.. And the Blue indication light on ur speedometer denotes "High Beams"

I also faced problem in my 2012 Altis Auto . After research and good advises from pakwheels members i got it fixed it was just air in the system nothing else was wrong. So make sure to diagnose your system properly before changing your compressor . Toyota dealership told me that same that your compressor is weak . But they were wrong and now my Ac is working 100% Fine Changing only the compressor wont solve the problem and usually these kabli stuff works just for some months . So its better to stay with your orignal system . Diagnose it properly still if problem is not solved get it done under warrenty but dont go for kabli stuff .

Hello usman. DO NOT GET IT ALTERED. My advise. I altered two comprrssors it simply just killed so many things. Spend money get all changed to genuine parts. Brotherly advice.

I end the end got everything genuine and all is fine

    as salaam o aliqum..
above mentioned problem is common among corollas from 2009 and later models.
if u can pay the price chance it with the original components.
or you might get used parts imported from japan they work fine too if u got a good piece.

Corollas are sold all over the world and the same compressor works fine just about everywhere. The key is proper diagnosis and servicing.

What are the high and low side pressures when the compressor trips? Does the system pass the vacuum integrity test? Is the service machine clean of contaminants?

The compresor in Corollas after 2008, PKDM ones are made in Pakistan, Usually ive heard they fail as soon as 1 month old cars.

Althou this is just what i have heard, In my case our Corollas Condensor leaked, I got it replaced and faced the Compresor tripping issue after that. Someone told me that oil you have put is not the right kind for this compresor that is why this happened.

I have however changed my cars compressor with a brand new one but of a 8th Generation Corolla (without sensor with clutch i guess).

Someone on Pakwheels mentioned that Corollas are prone to this issue and it is caused by a weak relay or coil, Il try to find the thread, That guy claims changing the relay or the coil can fix this issue easily.
Get over the fact that Xli lacks power windows, Its an Xli because it lacks thoose features or else it would be a Gli or an Altis if had all the goodies.
