Go to the dealer and ask him to book your car for the month of January with the January PBO and also with an invoice of January month then it would be 2016 model.

you dont need to order in January else if you would do that then may be your car will arrive in march if you order/book your car in the month of january by going to the dealer in january month.

if you book for december then you will get a car in december and if you register it in january then still it would be 2015 model.

Go to your nearest Toyota Dealership. Ask them that i want to book Altis 1.6 for january month, when will you issue PBO of january month and when will i submit pay order of Rs 500,000/- so that you can issue January PBO for Altis 1.6.

Few toyota dealers may misguide you by saying that please submit pay order right now and we will issue PBO in few days later with some lame excuses that system is not working or there are some quota left for december month etc etc.

Are you saying that you can put an order in now and pay 500,000 partial payment for delivery for March?

I doubt that they will order you a car without any payment

No sir you took me wrong. I can rephrase it

Go to your nearest Toyota Dealership. Ask them that i want to book Altis 1.6 for january month delivery, when will you issue PBO with january month delivery written on it and when will i submit pay order of Rs 500,000/-??? (Ask this to Toyota Dealer) so that Toyota Dealer can issue January month delivery PBO for Altis 1.6.(Because some time dealer take the payorder and ask the customer to take PBO later from them by giving some excuses and then may be some time when they need to oblige their friends by giving January month delivery PBO to them and extend the original customer's PBO from January month delivery to February month delivery who gave them pay order couple of months ago. I had personally experienced that).

Few Toyota dealers may misguide you by saying that please submit pay order right now and we will issue PBO in few days later with some lame excuses that system is not working or there are some quota left for December month and we have to issue PBO after booking December delivery month car etc etc.

    Thanks clear enough now.
I agree with you and also think that not a few but many take the money now and give PBO latter so that they can cash in with giving there own personal customers cars before others. That I can say because many have said the same on this forum

    Dear experts @nido747, and @hungama007

Need your valuable advice on this, please:

    1. If a person is going to get the car booked on lease in October 2015, and gets delivery in early January 2016, will it be considered a 2015 or 2016 model?

    2. How much time it takes to get the PBO, in case of bank leased car?

    1. The car depending on version will be 2015, however it would be 2016 for registration purpose.

    2. This depends on your bank can take anything from 10days to 3 weeks.

Sir, what I understand from your reply to question No. 1 is the fact that if PBO is of 2015, then invoice/model would also be of 2015, irrespective of the fact whether the car is delivered in 2016, am I right?

I will try to clear your confusion of Model of a car.

    What IMC do is

    1. There are complete packages available in the factory like body shell, seats ,bumper, each and every thing of the car. Per day IMC worker only assemble car by using ready parts according to demand and PBO.

    2. After assembling the car, they test the car for one to two days and when the unit is pass by Quality control then that unit is ready to assign to the customer.

3.Now after passing the unit, IMC generate the Invoice of that unit in the customer name. This "invoice" thing make which model is that. If invoice is of December 2015 like let say IMC make that unit on 25th december and generate its invoice to customer on 27th december and then that unit is shipped to Customer City like Islamabad and it reaches to dealer on let say 3rd January then definitely it is 2015 MODEL.
But if invoice is generated in January 2016 in any of day then that unit is of 2016 MODEL. It has nothing to do with PBO number, PBO number is just the booking number assigned to customer.

Hope it will clear your all confusion.

My friend, i am afraid that you are wrong.

Ask your bank that i need my car to be delivered in January with an invoice of January month 2016 then it would be 2016 model with 2016 registration

I booked my car in September 2014 and got the PBO of January 2015. i took the delivery in January 2015 with an invoice of 2015 and my model is 2015. I registered my car in February 2015 and my registration year is 2015.

    Beautifully explained, sir.

    In a nut shell,

    Invoice Month/Year = Model Month/Year,

Delivery Month/Year on PBO = Tentative Delivery Month/Year = Registration Month/Year (unless registration is deferred to wait for next year)

    Am I right, sir?

    Invoice Month/Year = Model Month/Year ( That is correct)

Delivery Month/Year on PBO = Tentative Delivery Month/Year = Registration Month/Year (unless registration is deferred to wait for next year) [ i didn't get this equation of yours ]

listen if December tentative delivery month is written on PBO then it means that IMC commit with you that they will deliver your car in December month it means that definitely your car invoice will be generated in December month because unit is shipped/transport after the car invoice is generated in the name of the customer.

and also Tentative Delivery Month/Year may not be equal to Registration Month/Year as if your car invoice is assigned on 30 January and you will receive your car in let say 2nd of February (or your bank will receive invoice document on 2nd of February) then obviously you or your bank will register your car in your or bank name in February month

Sir, what second equation meant was if the car is delivered on say 30th December, 2015, then I have two options:

    1. Get it registered on 30th December, 2015, in which case, Delivery Month/Year = Registration Month/Year
    2. Wait for two days, and get it registered on 1st January, 2016, in which case, Delivery Month/Year is not equal to Registration Month/Year because registration is deferred till 2016 beginning.

Correct me, if I am wrong, please.

I went to book an Altis 1.6 but before booking i decide to check the car inside out as i had an Altis 1.6 before with all options. The new Altis 1.6 is a GLI with 1.6 engine nothing more.. Ordinary Seats, No Cruise Control, No Sun Roof, No Leather Interior and the price is whooping 19Lack 72 Thousand Plus 75,000 Withholding Tax and After that Almost 75000 of registration cost.
Are you willing to pay almost 21 Lack for a Gli with 1.6 Engine..... It is better to buy a previous model 1.6 Altis with full options...............
This is the very reason we don't see many Altis owners selling their cars because no one wants to buy a Gli for 21 Lacks
Audi is like a disease once it gets in your blood there is no going back

Ordinary Seats, No Cruise Control, No Sun Roof, No Leather Interior and the price is whooping 19Lack 72 Thousand Plus 75,000 Withholding Tax and After that Almost 75000 of registration cost.
Are you willing to pay almost 21 Lack for a Gli with 1.6 Engine..... It is better to buy a previous model 1.6 Altis with full options...............
This is the very reason we don't see many Altis owners selling their cars because no one wants to buy a Gli for 21 Lacks
There is an another option of getting 2002 model corolla with full options. you will save a lot of money there , why did you wasted so much money like 17Lac on previous model of altis. you can easily get 2002 corolla in 8 lac with full options. Save the money man. Even mehran is a better option. Even 1992 model mehran has the same shape of 2015 with some little change of grill and bluish headlights. 1992 model mehran wont cost you more then 1.5 to 2 lac and it will take you from point A to B .
