Are you willing to pay almost 21 Lack for a Gli with 1.6 Engine..... It is better to buy a previous model 1.6 Altis with full options...............
This is the very reason we don't see many Altis owners selling their cars because no one wants to buy a Gli for 21 Lacks
You are right sir, but then what should a person do, if he wants to have a zero meter 1.6 cc car, not second hand one?

And why didn't you check Altis 1.8, except engine which is 1798CC you will find the same features that previous model Altis offer, even some more feature too like inclined seats and much more

Who in the crazy world would want to pay 25 lack rupees on road price for a Toyota Corolla. For 25 Lack Rupees you have better options. Getting a Zero meter car is indeed good but Value for Money and A Car is suppose to justify its worth which Altis 1.6 and 1.8 dont at all... This is the very reason that we see GLI all over the place

Same is the case for previous model altis as they are also not worth the money and also 9th gen altis too that is why we see more gli, xli of 9th and 10th gen then 9th n 10th gen of Altis

We see a lot of mehran on the roads this mean that they are real value for money..

After recently going through the ordeal of ordering a corolla myself, I have to come to the opinion that the 1.6 Altis is wrongly compared with Grande/1.8 CVTi, when infact it is a good jump on the GLi A/T with the added cost of only 100k or so, but the losers that IMC are, if they gave 1.6 the ALTIS BADGE then the least they could do is add keyless entry, even the basic city has it now, that is the real downer in my opinion, otherwise 1.6 sits nicely in the middle of the Corolla range.

I second you .. Atleast i was hopping fog lights in Altis 1.6 or to prove altis badge they should at least give chrome lining in handles which would differentiate it from GLI but might be the price difference from GLi is not that much hardly 125k in which we are getting

    1. High quality Alloy Rims ( 40 to 50k if we go for good quality imported Rims aftermarket )
    2. Nav ready infotainment system with back view camera ( 40k if we go aftermarket )
    3. Hi Grade fabric seats as mentioned on indus website (Please see website if have doubts) ( let say 10k )
    4. Extra two colors, Super White and Bronze Mica
    5. Dual VVTI 1598cc bigger Engine, Extra 300 CC from Gli. ( 125k - 40k -40k -10k = 35k, may be 35k will justify this extra 300 cc engine )

But still atleast Fod lights or keyless entry should be present or door chrome lining. Else they should name it 1.6 GLI like in previous 10 gen.

I am in a similar predicament to the original poster here. Checking with most of the authorized dealers in Islamabad today, they are offering a delivery date of December for Altis 1.6. In the long run would it really matter if the car is invoiced on December 31st, 2015 or January 1st 2016?

Yes it does matter on selling the car after 4 to 5 year in Pakistan . Better to wait for 5 to 10 days and get the car with invoice of 2016.

Thanks @nido747. I was thinking the same.
Does anyone know when IMC will start booking for 2016? Dealers are suggesting end of October.

Keep in touch with all the dealers of the city on phone. Ask them after every two to three days that when are you guys issueing pbo of january month .

Keep doing that else suddenly one day you will come to know that booking of january month is now closed and only feb month is available because many people are looking for january month.

Car registration year does not matter. What matters is the year of invoice.
Be polite on the road. Always give way to others, particularly ambulances and pedestrians.

The year of manufacture is the most important date reference mark, that's what will count at the end of the day

A 2016 manufacture date is what you need.

I heard from Islamabad motors today that triple letters series will be issued 2016!

Also depending on situation cars have been delivered in 15days! Now that's what I call service 😀
