Hey Friends there since last 2 3 weeks I am in the quest of finding right car for my family under 1.2 million rupees , initially I was inclined towards buying Honda city 2010 model which sells for some what in my range how ever reading some of the reviews and experiences of fellow pakwheelers I have decided to go for Toyota corolla instead, while searching for Toyota Corolla that lies within my range I have found that they are mostly 2009 2010 model which is around 5 years old , moreover I have observed that their upbeat model Altis sells for almost the same price as XLI or GLI of the same built year.. now I am a little learned person and understand that a proper power to weight ratio is an added advantage that gives a more driving pleasure as well as more longevity to the mechanical aspects of the car .. I need answer to my following Queries
1-is the Toyota Altis 2009 model as technically reliable as their contemporary GLI and XLI ?
2-was the 1.8L petrol engine that came in 2009 altis a good engine ? I mean sturdier ? Long lasting ? Easier to maintain ?
3-how much difference should I expect in fuel consumption between 1.3L 2NZFE and that 1.8L engine ?
4-given that I am buying a 5 year old car what things is should check in a car ? And how can I check that the engine and it's associated parts are in good condition ? Simply how can I judge the engine ?
5-can I run altis 1.8L on CNG .. I want it run alternatively on petrol and CNG so that it is economical
6-which one should go for ? Automatic or manual ?
I presently drive a Toyota Corolla 1.3 with a 2E engine and that car struggles due to it's massive body size and may be it is one of the reason I want an adequately powered car as well as having perks of getting a fully loaded car that came out of company as well as a Nissan .. I think both of my vehicles are under powered..
Waiting for a quick and an effective reply.
