Default Radiator water coming upward from radiator cap on opening after changing water body

    Aoa All,
My car XLi 2007 was running smoothly when it suddenly started noise, i checked & it was due to belt & bearing ,anyways i went to office & my brother took it to mechanic.
That mechanic changed bearing & also changed water body. Now i noticed 1 major change:
    BEFORE:
Before when he car engine was in running state & if you open radiator cap or radiator plastic bottle cap( water does not come out) so no chance/risk of burning body,
actually my uncle advised me 30 years ago that even if car is too hot, never switch off your ignition, make your car running engine & then open radiator cap,it will never hurt you because due to engine start, water will be kept in motion so i always follow his advice
    NOW:
after changing water body when engine was on(running), i opened radiator cap to inspect water level, water suddenly smashes from radiator & i hardly managed myself from being hurt.
i checked it 2-3 times now this is usual,if radiator is hot wether engine is running or not running, water always comnes upward & there is chances of burning/hurting
    QUESTION:
Q1. is something wrong or it is ok to water to come out during engine start
Q2. what is the symbol of malfunctioning water body?(My car never reduces a single drop of water or neved had heating issue)
Q3.what to do now to prevent water from jumping/smashing out?

    here in Pindi
taxi drivers have this habit of opening cap of the radiator after every run
then they pull out a 1.5 litr seven up bottle and top it up

you are taking inspiration from the wrong people bro

    just for your information
if ur car is fine, never open radiator cap, hot or cold, check water level from reservoir bottle
Life is short and very unpredictable just like a Quarter mile .....

    @Xulfiqar

We have a Devdas here who opens radiator cap when the engine is hot.

Water in radiator is pressurized and would come out if radiator cap is opened your car radiator cap hold about 13 psi of pressure You would have 3rd degree burn with if the hot radiator water came in contact of your skin

c - you have no will to live peacefully ever again

2nd and 3rd degree burns are not fun - they are very painful..

Under normal condition the hose pipes will be hard with pressure (radiator cap is doing its job and system is tight), Any mechanic telling you otherwise needs to be handed over to a museum as a historic artifact - only cars from the 1930s had a convection cooling system with no pressure.

When you open the cap the system is under normal 1 atm pressure - this will cause water to boilover - with cap installed the system will self pressurize and hence increase the boil point - which wont happen because the cap will release the coolant/water to the expansion tank at anything above 1+1 atm.

After how many KM on the odometer you had to change water body? Doesn't water body last the life of engine?

It get rusted with time...usually syptoms are of water not revolving inside radiator. But it runs along time...usually over 50k km in first run...and doesnt cost much...its just a simple pump which circulates water

My son's XLI 2009 required waterbody change after 120,000 km. cost from 3S dealership was 14,800.

    Two questions:
    1. Shouldn't original waterbody last the life of engine?
    2. Did 3S charge reasonable amount?

    Naaah...waterbody doesnt last that long..

Go to local market and buy a japani one new..it will not be of over 2000pkr...its simply burning your money if you give yr car to 3s for this...
