    Default Corolla Fan Belt

My Corolla 2009 model has done 100,000 KM. I went to 3S dealership. They changed the fan belt and charged Rs. 5400. Later I learnt that this belt is available in market for Rs. 350 and lasts well over 70-80 K. Is 3S charging too much???

Yes 3s charges too much but the catch is that from 3s it's guaranteed you get original part but from outside you are never know and other point is mostly they have outdated products and 3s has latest parts.

The fanbelt available in open market costs <500 and lasts 80,000 KM. So what is the point in getting it from 3S?

Genuine fan belt lasts ~ 100,000 KM, why did you have to change after only 40,000 KM?
